2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Extended Cab on 2040-cars
Kewadin, Michigan, United States
It's full with the following options - - a powerful 5.3 liter Vortec V8, 4 X 4 automatic transmission, beefy off-road package, factory tow pkg., bed liner, locking Weather-Guard tool-boxes, alloy wheels, cruise control, A/C, AM/FM/CD, tilt wheel, rear window defogger, power locks/windows/mirrors, power drivers seat - gray cloth seats - no holes, tears or wear. Heavy duty and front tow hooks for straps.
Dual UNITY Spot lights with amazing candle power (they work way better than a flash light and are super handy to use). Dual Heavy Duty batteries, new brakes and brake lines and Goodyear Wranglers with 65 % tread on the set. Fresh fluids and new air-filter and oil filter. Two remote entry key fobs and two spare work-box keys. Great as a daily driver, a really great work truck or one to use at deer camp and other seasonal activities. It has 119,000 miles and it's awesome to drive through northern Michigan. I'm selling it for less than I have invested into it. It's priced below Blue Book value, so I'm willing to give someone a better than fair deal for the truck. Paint was professionally clay barred, polished and detailed. The finish shines like a mirror. |

Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica
Fri, 03 Aug 2012If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.
Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine
Fri, 08 Mar 2013Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
UAW to vote on strike at Kentucky Corvette plant
Tue, 08 Apr 2014The current wait time for a new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is well, not short. With word of a strike at the Bowling Green, KY factory responsible for seventh-generation sports car, though, that wait time could end up growing substantially.
Now, a strike is still a ways off. UAW Local 2164, which represents the 800 workers responsible for screwing the Corvette together, is set to vote on authorizing a strike today, but even if the employees give the action a go, it's far from a sure thing. According to The Tennessean, both regional and national union officials would need to put their stamp of approval on strike action.
"The membership has to vote to strike, but it's just a step in the process," said Gary Casteel, the UAW's Region 8 director and one of the people that would need to authorize a strike action. Casteel told The Tennessean, "It's purely a local situation, though. They are having some issues with the local management."
