I am selling my 2000 Chevy Silverado Z71. I am the second owner of the truck. The truck was given to me after my grandfather (the original owner) died. The truck was a work truck that was used on his ranch. Below are the facts I know about the truck:

2000 Chevy Silverado
Z71
Short bed
Single Cab
1500
V8 -- Vortec
5.3 Liter
Automatic
Tilt Wheel
Power steering
AM/FM Radio
CD
Tow Package
4 Wheel Drive
Air Conditioning
Power Windows
Power Door Locks
Cruise Control
Dual Air Bags
Cherry Bomb exhaust
Approx 191,000 miles
Clean Title

The truck Kelly Blue Book value is approx $5,200.00.

The title is clear with n lean holders at all.

The things wrong with the truck are as follows:

-                          The check engine light is on with a P010 fault which is the air flow sensor. I am told that the cost to fix it would run about 200.00.

-                          The outside handle on the passenger side door is broken and not able to open from the outside.  The door can be opened from the inside.  The door will open from both sides once the handle is replaced.

-                          The top of the center console is broken but does not affect the compartment on the inside.

-                          The truck is a used work truck so the truck has scratches and dings.

The reason we are selling the truck and not fixing it ourselves is that we acquired a newer truck.  If I had not gotten such a good deal on our new truck I would be keeping this one.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.  I am more than willing to take additionally picture of whatever on the truck you would like to see just email me what to take a picture of and an email address to send it to.

Due to the truck being sold locally I reserve the right to end the auction early.

Pushing Back: GM expanding Chevrolet into Korea, Daewoo out

Thu, 29 Apr 2010

Chevrolet Camaro goes to South Korea - Click above for high-res image
General Motors decided several years ago to begin heavily promoting Chevrolet as its global mainstream brand even in markets where its existing brands like Opel and Daewoo were a dominant force. Today, at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea, GM Daewoo president Mike Arcamone announced that the Camaro would lead the way in GM's efforts to market Chevrolet in South Korea.
For now at least Chevrolet and Daewoo-branded vehicles will coexist in the Korean market. However, while we were in China last week GM officials told us that the Daewoo brand, which has been somewhat tainted by past quality issues, would eventually be phased out in favor of Chevrolet. When the new Aveo launches next year it will likely be badged as a Chevrolet even though GM Daewoo is in charge of engineering the car.

Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]

Mon, 27 May 2013

If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.

UAW to vote on strike at Kentucky Corvette plant

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

The current wait time for a new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is well, not short. With word of a strike at the Bowling Green, KY factory responsible for seventh-generation sports car, though, that wait time could end up growing substantially.
Now, a strike is still a ways off. UAW Local 2164, which represents the 800 workers responsible for screwing the Corvette together, is set to vote on authorizing a strike today, but even if the employees give the action a go, it's far from a sure thing. According to The Tennessean, both regional and national union officials would need to put their stamp of approval on strike action.
"The membership has to vote to strike, but it's just a step in the process," said Gary Casteel, the UAW's Region 8 director and one of the people that would need to authorize a strike action. Casteel told The Tennessean, "It's purely a local situation, though. They are having some issues with the local management."
