Up for bid is a 1959 Chevrolet Apache pickup with great patina and a nice overall look.

It is a driver that has been gone through with the desire to keep very stock looking.

I drove it on a 135 mile round trip 4/5/13 to the Lone Star Roundup Show.

I drove it and entered it into the Houston Construction Industry Auto Show on 05/25/13

The transmission was upgraded with a 1993 S-10 WCS T5 five speed and shifts smoothly.

Billet adapter was used in the transmission conversion for a perfect fit.

New clutch and throw-out bearing.

All new brakes and brake lines.

Rebuilt Master Cylinder.

Disc brake conversion on the front to 5-lug 5x4-3/4" pattern.

S-10 3.73 4wd rear end.

New front and rear window rubber.

HEI conversion.

New 5 lug wheels and nearly new radial tires.

Has stock radio.

New fuel pump.

New battery.

Rebuilt carb.

Rewired lights for 12V.

Generator replaced with altenator.

Original bed wood.

Original bedside trim is complete and intact. (Very Rare option)

Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues

'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.

Redesigning an icon is a difficult task, especially when you've got a blank sheet of paper in front of you and the all-new C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is intended to be your final objective.
General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
