This is the real deal ,Once in your lifetime opportunity to own, Bid/offers now or regret it later ...it will be sold
With a Stock height of near 7ft from the ground to the top of the roof this Chevy 36 series just barely sneaks under a standard 7ft door as seen in the first picture. This Napco Truck stands out and demands attention unlike other Napco 4x4 Chevy single wheel trucks of this era , chances are slim you will see another on the road or at a car show with this stance unless modified or unoriginal, this is the original Monster truck from the 50's! Montana farm truck stored away for many years used as a farm truck what you see is what you are buying ,cab is very very very solid only real rust problem is above rear view mirror on the inside where a few mice got in as it was stored in a barn. i do have the original Napco spare also a 19.5 " wheel. this truck stands tall, runs and drives it will run around town This truck is worthy of a full restoration ,it is a very, very rare napco original with the Napco branded transfer case and axle as seen in the photos, cross member for transfer case is riveted to the frame and not a bolt on. Engine runs Strong, quiet, smooth and smoke free four wheel drive needs freed up shifter tight wont engage ,axle not engaging but all there, lights all work ,bed is recent, fair cond and not from this truck originally sold as a cab and chassis , original owner stated that engine was re ringed in the 80's when it was stowed away and still runs like new. value of this truck is over 50k when restored i am asking a modest price for this unrestored scarce original. put in your offers now to win. If you know these trucks you know what you are getting ,if not please ask i will answer any and all questions |

Race Recap: 2013 Twelve Hours of Sebring, cakewalk up front, grindfest out back [w/spoilers]
Tue, 19 Mar 2013This year's 12 Hours of Sebring wasn't exactly a foregone conclusion because we're still talking about racing, and anything can happen when the speeds are as high as the adrenaline and the desire. But we're still talking about Audi bringing it's two top-spec racers - and its huge budget and its nearly neurotic attention to detail - to a race that it uses as a test bed for The 24 Hours of Le Mans and as a way to open the endurance racing season with a victory.
Besides, 12 hours is a long time, especially at Sebring, and things didn't go all Audi's way. On top of that, although it was a pretty quiet race, behind the Audis things got even grimier, with plenty of battles, plenty of mechanical issues, and the new BMW Z4 GTE and Viper GTS-R being race tested. Oh, and that brand new chromed-out DeltaWing...
Read This: Auto Extremist advocates for Corvette as brand with multiple models [w/poll]
Fri, 25 Jan 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette really grinds Peter De Lorenzo's gears. Or, more accurately, the self-anointed Auto Extremist has an issue with what he sees as mismanagement of the legendary sports car by General Motors executives. In a new editorial on his website, De Lorenzo argues it's time to split Corvette off from Chevrolet to create an all-new brand, complete with a model range with at least three new takes on the sports car. Capable of fully leveraging the successes of the Corvette Racing program and brandishing the full might of GM's technical prowess, the Corvette brand would theoretically give Porsche something to sweat over.
Sure, that sounds like a party, but given GM's troubled track record when it comes to launching (let alone managing) brands, we say that's slippery slope that could just as easily end with the whole Corvette franchise in the scrap bin. Either way, the notion is certainly an interesting one. Head over to Auto Extremist to take in the full editorial, and then let us know what you think in Comments. Should GM split off its most storied nameplate?

Watch the live reveal of the 2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra [UPDATE]
Thu, 13 Dec 2012UPDATE: The trucks have been revealed. Click here for all of the official details.
As promised, Chevrolet and GMC are offering a live webcast of the world premiere for the all-new 2014 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500. After being teased with spy shots and blurry images like the one above for ages, now is the time to see the trucks in the metal, for real (well, as 'real' as it gets on a webcast, at any rate).
Shift your eyes down just below to see the reveal as it happens, starting at 9:30 AM EST. We anticipate having loads of images full technical information to share after the webcast, too, so truck aficionados should stay tuned. We'll also be bringing you live images of both trucks too, when we see them on the show floor at next month's Detroit Auto Show.
