Drive it or show it. That is up to YOU!  Good Luck and have fun bidding.

PLEASE READ ON FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THIS CAR

Body and Paint:  This car retains all of its original sheet metal, except for the 2 inch Cowl Hood.  Body was put on rotisserie and stripped down to bare metal.  Underside was sandblasted, epoxy primed, and then base coat/clear coated in Dupont.  On the exterior of the car the side moldings were removed, epoxy primer was applied, followed by filler primer.  It was block sanded twice and then base coat and clear coat were applied.  Then it was meticulously sanded and polished for 40 hours.

Interior:  Floor was rhino lined to ensure durability and helps quiet any road noise.  Dash and rear deck tray were painted with flat black interior color.  New Carpet, seats, firewall padding, and kick panels were installed.  It retains it original dash cluster, dash pad, headliner, and door panels.   New weather stripping and door fuzzies.  All window regulators were removed cleaned and greased.

Drivetrain:

Engine:  The block is a 90's  350 bored 30 over with a one piece rear main seal.  The piston are flat topped and balanced,  The heads are Brodix 180 RR's.  It has a comp hydraulic roller cam, roller rockers, Edlebrock Air Gap intake, 750CFM Vacuum Secondaries Holley Carb, MSD Distributor and 6AL Box.  Everything on the engine is new ( starter, alternator, water pump, power steering pump, etc...).

Transmission:  New Turbo 350 built by local transmission shop with a 2400 stall converter.  Works well on the street with no slippage. It has a new one piece drive-line with new U-joints, and balanced.

Exhaust: Coated Hooker Super Comp Headers with 2.5" pipe into Thrush Turbo Mufflers, complemented with 2.5" tailpipes exiting behind the rear tires.

Suspension and Brakes:  The front disc brakes have new rotors, calipers, bearing, and brake hoses.  Replaced the power steering box, pitman arm and idler arm for reassurance due to age.  The rear end is a 12 bolt 4:10 posi  out of 69 Z28.  Five leaf mono springs riding on all new rubber bushings with brand new Monroe shocks on all four corners.  The rear end also has new drums, brakes, shoes, and master spring kit. See pictures for detail.

Exterior Chrome:  The front bumper and bumper brackets are new as well as the marker lights.  The grille is the original grille that has been redone.  The filler panel is brand new along with the hood and eyebrow moldings.  The rear bumper is the original bumper but has been rechromed by the famous A&A plating.  The rear marker lights and bezzles are new.  The chrome around the rear side windows and door are new.  It retains the original chrome around the front and rear glass that could stand a polishing.  The rear taillights and panel are original.  Mirror on door is new.  We are waiting for original door handles to return from being chromed.

Glass:  The front windshield is brand new while the rest of the glass on the car is the original glass.  The glass is not in perfect shape but it is in very good shape.

Tires and Wheels:  The wheels are American Racing 15x7 Torque Thrust 309 Series wrapped with E70 15 Goodyear Wide Tread Repops for that nostalgic look.

GM recalls Chevy Express, GMC Savana over rollaway concern

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall notice for a small number of General Motors fullsize vans due to possible rollaway concerns. On certain 2013 Chevrolet Express and 2013 GMC Savana models, it is possible to remove the key from the ignition without the shifter being in park.
Only 980 total units are being affected by this recall, and GM is fixing the issue by replacing the ignition cylinder and associated keys. Affected Chevy vans were built during most of November and December while its GMC counterpart was only built for a week in November. The recall goes into effect on January 23, and to find out if your vehicle applies to the recall, the GM and NHTSA contact numbers can be found on the official recall notice, which is posted below.

Callaway debuts its new C7 Stingray at National Corvette Museum

Fri, 02 May 2014

Callaway showed off its first tuned version of the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum last week, giving the rampant enthusiasts of America's sports car a look at the roughly 620-horsepower, supercharged rocket.
Unlike the Corvette SC610 we showed you back in January, this Stingray packs a fair bit more oomph. Horsepower is only up ten ponies, but torque has jumped from 556 pound-feet to "at least" 600 pound-feet. Neither horsepower nor torque is official quite yet, although Callaway is expecting to know just what its creation can do once testing and validation is completed later this month.
The 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 now boasts a new, three-element intercooler, which Callaway claims only allowed the inlet air temperature to increase by ten degrees Fahrenheit during dyno runs. Previous designs saw a 35-degree-Fahrenheit jump. The exhaust system has also been fettled with, and now is even less restrictive.

Watch NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon put one over on a used car dealer... sorta

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.
