1964 Chevy Impala convertible. I got told the car was in California until 1992 and then it was brought here and put storage until now. The person I bought it from said the motor was rebuilt and I have only driven the car a few miles and the car runs and shifts great. I believe it has matching numbers. It comes with original owners manual, protection plan, convertible operation and care folding top books. I rebuilt the instrument panel, all gauges, lights, and the clock work. Heater box was rebuilt. I have installed new parts: gas tank sending unit, back up safety switch, turn signal switch, heater core, and jokey box. It needs rear veiw mirrors, pump and ram kit for top, some moldings, wipper motor, battery, window regulator for wing window, and some window rollers. Back window will not zip up and needs interior kit. Floor pans are in great shape and the trunk has a few pin holes in it. Body is in good shape, besides very little rust as shown in pickers. Paint is pretty good but body work isn't that great. I described this car to the best of my knowledge, do not assume anything, call with any questions before bidding (801)376-6667. $500 deposit within 24 hour or it will be relisted. Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why
Sun, 27 Jan 2013Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.

GM claims it's first to sell million 30+ mpg vehicles
Fri, 04 Jan 2013As we continue to put together all the data for the year-end edition of By The Numbers, General Motors has announced that it sold more than a million vehicles in the US last year that achieved at least 30 miles per gallon on the highway. More impressively, GM managed this feat using multiple strategies including small vehicle size, turbocharged engines and hybrid or plug-in technologies across four brands (Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC) accounting for 13 separate models. This number will grow even more in 2013 thanks to cars like the all-electric Spark, the diesel Cruze, the range-extended Cadillac ELR and the Buick Encore compact CUV.
GM's small car sales were up 39 percent last year helping to attain this million-sales mark for 30-mpg models, and almost 40 percent of all GM sales consisted of cars with fuel-efficient I4 engines. In regards to more advanced means of improving fuel economy, GM says that it plans on having 500,000 vehicles with "some form of electrification" on the road by 2017.

Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard
Tue, 19 Mar 2013Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
