1963 Chevrolet Ss With Factory Air on 2040-cars
Springdale, Arkansas, United States
We restored this vehicle for a friend about 2 years ago. Since he traveled a lot, he did not drive it very much. He wanted it to be as original as possible and only allowed us to add a secret radio with multible cd player which is mounted in the trunk. This 1963 SS is pretty close to showroom quality. New paint, new interior, new dash pad, rebuilt transmission. It is factory air and a great heater for your comfort. Bucket seats with chome side trim on seats. 327 engine and powerglide automatic transmission. No body damage and has the original wheels and caps. I'm sure there is something I have missed mentioning but it is ready to role. Great fun and ready for the show car season. $500 non refundable deposit is required upon purchase and balance is due upon pickup of car within 10 days. Payment in cash. Car has been stored inside and waiting for your bid. If your bank and my bank work together, other payment methods can be arranged. 479-751-6947 Springdale, Ar

Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1
Mon, 11 Feb 2013The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.
Watch NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon put one over on a used car dealer... sorta
Wed, 13 Mar 2013Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.
