Last Year. 1987 Chevy El Camino. This is a great running car, fast and a head turner. Starts up no problem every time. Me and my ex father in law spent a lot of years working on this car. Due to his passing, his wife would like to sell it now. This is a great deal and well worth it to the right person. I will list everything below that we did to it over the last few years. Car was always garaged and have been well taken care of. Pulled the 305 out of it and put a 350 in. The Odometer is correct for the car, however the engine and Trans only have about 2000 miles on them. Engine: Chevy 350 Racing Cam Mesh Hosing Custom Heads, Custom Air Filter, Custom Wiring loom California Emissions removed Custom Fuel Filtration System Transmission : 350 Turbo Tranny Exhaust: Dual 3" pipes, Redone from the headers back Body: Straight body no rust Paint: Custom Paint Job Wheel: After Market Rims & Tires Custom Billet Grill Tonneau Cover redone and custom designed Interior: Interior is all Customized. Dash: Sent to California and rebuilt Headliner: Custom Design Seats: Redone from the originals and modified Seat Belts: Custom 4pt Harness Door: Weather Stripping all new, Door Panels Redone and Customized Guages: Changed to white gauges, with black light in dash to make them Glow Stereo: After Market Stereo, Speakers in Dash replaced, Added Two 6X9 in boxes in the back, and wiring ran for amp and sub if you want to add that. This Car is custom inside and out. Interior done to match the color and design of the outside. |

Chevy might've pulled out of NASCAR if it weren't for new Gen 6 car

On one hand, it's some of the closest racing anywhere in motorsports, with actual passing and door-handle-to-door-handle action as a matter of course. But on the other, it's become template racing - a personality-driven sport more about the drivers than any sort of loyalty to a particular automaker. The Car Of Tomorrow format really rammed that message home, with a racecar's identity coming down to little more than headlamp stickers slapped on the nose. That's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, but we've wondered for some time what's in it for the automakers, who pay big money to stay in a series that has had little increasingly little do with street car sales, let alone innovation.
Apparently General Motors was beginning to wonder the same thing. In a new ESPN report, Rick Hendrick, team owner of Hendrick Motorsports, suggests that GM would have seriously considered leaving NASCAR if it wasn't for the move away from the COT to the new Gen 6 racer. According to Hendrick, GM North America boss Mark Reuss spearheaded the charge away from the 2007 COT and toward a racecar with clearer automaker ties - cars like the new Chevrolet SS racer shown above. Chevy gets cracking on Cruze EV fleet testing

The Chevrolet Volt hasn't yet gone on sale, but General Motors is looking at ways of expanding its electric vehicle lineup. Chevy, along with partner LG, is employing a group of all-electric cars in the form of the Cruze. The sedans are part of a demonstration fleet which is located in Seoul, South Korea and is being used to provide data in an electric vehicle research project. The goal is to gather information on driving patterns and charging behavior in addition to consumer acceptance.
The Cruze EVs, along with some Daewoo Lacetti Premieres EVs, are the first fleet of full-size electric vehicles and should provide invaluable information for The General. Staying full-size means not sacrificing cargo space, so the battery pack is mounted to the underbody, leaving the trunk area open for plenty recyclable, canvas grocery bags.
