This 1964 Corvette is a non matching numbered Vette with power steering,still very tight suspension and steering, 4 -Speed Muncie and a ZZ 3 GM crate engine. The brake drums and front suspension look original along with the glass codes. Rear differential axles and U joints appear to have been serviced. Muncie shifts in all gears but should be gone over or rebuilt to include brakes as I have only done the work indicated.

The hood is not correct, maybe 65 and the gauges work except clock, temp(has mechanical under dash) tachometer will need an HEI distributor with tach drive. I have replaced the carb that was leaking with an Edelbrock, the alternator was rebuilt along with another battery. Replaced steering wheel with a 15". ( have the original steering wheel ) Head lights work but will need the motors installed and front motor harness to rotate. I have a set of the head light motors that will go with the car as well. Can be rotated buy hand and hi/low beams are working. All brake/turn signals are working,replaced the rear license plate light assembly. A good driving builder or drive as is, engine runs as cool as can be on the hottest days out here. Have no idea when this ZZ3 engine was done or mileage but is not smoking or misses a beat, at least 300 horse. Also comes with the hard top. Still has the U.S. Royal spare underneath. Have a new soft top (black) with rubber kit, that needs to be installed. Will add or delete more pictures as time permits. Ask your questions before bidding and I will do my best to get back to you. GM 6.2L V8 claims most powerful light-duty truck engine title

General Motors has officially captured the horsepower crown for mainstream pickup trucks with its 6.2-liter V8. The big mill, available in both the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, comes to market with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, handily outdoing its two cross-town competitors, Ram (5.7-liter V8, 395 ponies and 407 lb-ft) and Ford (6.2-liter V8, 411 hp and 434 lb-ft).
The new GM 6.2 will take a bit of an investment, though. Those that want the extra thrust will need to go with either the LTZ or High Country trims from the Chevy, or the SLT and Denali trims from GMC, which are the two highest trim levels for the respective vehicles. Trim levels aside, if you're in the business of towing, GM has you covered. Optioned with the 6.2-liter V8 and the Max Trailering Package, owners will be able to pull 12,000 pounds, a hugely impressive figure.
We still aren't certain as to what sort of economy the new engine will get, but it'll probably be a bad bet for the fuel conscious. As for availability, expect to see the 6.2-liter trucks in showrooms later in the fall.

Pushing Back: GM expanding Chevrolet into Korea, Daewoo out

General Motors decided several years ago to begin heavily promoting Chevrolet as its global mainstream brand even in markets where its existing brands like Opel and Daewoo were a dominant force. Today, at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea, GM Daewoo president Mike Arcamone announced that the Camaro would lead the way in GM's efforts to market Chevrolet in South Korea.
For now at least Chevrolet and Daewoo-branded vehicles will coexist in the Korean market. However, while we were in China last week GM officials told us that the Daewoo brand, which has been somewhat tainted by past quality issues, would eventually be phased out in favor of Chevrolet. When the new Aveo launches next year it will likely be badged as a Chevrolet even though GM Daewoo is in charge of engineering the car.

Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.
