1961 CORVAIR MONZA COUPE NO RESERVE AUCTION Up for your consideration and at “No Reserve” is this real nice looking 1961 Corvair Monza Coupe VIN # 10927W166424. This Corvair is equipped with GM’s rear mount horizontally opposed 80hp 6cyl motor mated to an automatic 2 speed power glide transmission. The paint color is Ermine White with a very clean and nice looking Red interior. It is a very neat little car with what we believe to be 57K original miles. The paint is in very good condition and is maybe a 10 year old repaint. The car is very presentable and one of the previous owners decided to remove the bumpers and emblems for the look you see today. The floors and trunk pan are solid and we believe this has always been a Carolina car. The car runs and drive very well and does not pull or wander. There are no additional options to mention other than a very neatly done dual exhaust system. There is just not much to say about this car other than it’s just a nice old 1961 Corvair coupe that you can get in and enjoy without worrying about it being too perfect or too expensive. 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra show all their sides in Detroit
Tue, 15 Jan 2013There could hardly be more riding on the next-generation General Motors full-size pickup trucks, so the automaker has wisely made sure to have a selection of different models on hand at the Detroit Auto Show to show off. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra were both officially introduced last month at a stand-alone reveal, and now they'll be on display for the public to see in various body configurations and trim levels.
The Silverado LTZ Crew Cab and Sierra SLE Extended Cab are aimed at providing more of a high-end pickup experience, while the Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab and Sierra SLT Z71 Crew Cab should have off-road fans scouting out their favorite trails. The crew cab trucks won't go into production until sometime during the second quarter of this year - with other bodystyles coming later in the year - but we have plenty of live images from Detroit for you to enjoy.
Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows
Wed, 13 Mar 2013While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
