IF YOU ARE INTERESTED EMAIL ME AT: yolandayeeisen@kinghell.com . I bought this beautiful Cyber Grey Metalic Camaro in the beginning of 2014 at Texas direct auto in Houston. The
Magnusson TVS 2300 with a 3.8 pulley was installed by sterling Chevrolet in Sterling Virginia at 2235 mls by the
previous owner. The reason I am selling this car is that my job comes to an end here at Houston and we are going to
move back to Europe soon. Since I already own a Z06 at home there is no place for this beauty in my garage and it
has to go.
I had test driven several Camaro’s before I took this one for a ride, and its performance is not even close to
the standard Camaro’s. I fell for it the minute I pushed the accelerator with my toe. Since I really was
impressed with the power, I had put the Camaro on the dyno at Bumberas. I gave me the following result: 448hp and
416FtLb at the rear wheels. This is about 560hp at the crank, so quite impressive!! It is not only this peak power
but also the almost instantaneously kick in the back! The Borla exhaust system, which gives it a very nice not
too loud sound. It could easily be mistaken for a car being completely stock.
General description:
The car drives / shifts perfectly, I had no issues at all during the period I bought it till now. The car has
Pirelli Zero’s, at the front 245/45/ZR20. I estimate the profile is at 50-60%. And at the rear 275/40/ZR20 I
estimate that the profile is about 30% . The original Camaro badges on the side were previously removed and I have
added aftermarket Superchargers decals. These can be easily removed, if buyer does not like them.
Exterior:
Equipped with sunroof which works as it should be and is in very nice condition. The Paint is in overall very good
condition. Although there are some paint chips on the front of the car due to normal stone chipping. On the right
mirror there is a small scratch, which can easily be touched up.
Interior:
The interior of the car looks brand new and it is a NON smoking car. Al options are in working order. The interior
has a two tone leather upholstery which has no tears or other damages. There is some very minor wear on the
driver’s seat, but that’s really minor. Equipped with a HUD and flippers on the wheel for manual shifting when
desired.

Chevrolet planning low-cost Corvette under Stingray?

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

If you're burnt out on musings about the Chevrolet Corvette, you'll want to go ahead and skip this post. Motor Trend reports General Motors is hard at work on a low-cost version of the seventh-generation sports car for 2015. Rumored to be called the Corvette Coupe, the car will forgo the Stingray and skip the 450-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine in favor of a 5.3-liter V8 with under 400 ponies. If you're keeping track, that's a shade of the same engine found behind the headlights of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
The report also suggests the Coupe will receive a number of aesthetic tweaks to separate it from the Stingray, including different front and rear fascias as well as new front fenders and a rear diffuser. Motor Trend says the point of all this is to cut the car's price tag, which means we may see a Corvette on showroom floors for less than $50,000 if this car comes to fruition.

Conquest and controversy conclude the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona [spoilers]

Sun, 26 Jan 2014

If you don't wish to know who won the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona, you should avert your eyes right now. We'll even give you a double-space to skedaddle...
For those of you still with us, the first race in the United SportsCar Championship (USCC) is done, but the discussions about it certainly won't end for a while. Daytona Prototypes claimed the first four overall places, the top spot taken by the No. 5 Action Express Coyote-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Joao Barbosa, Christian Fittipaldi, Sebastien Bourdain and Burt Friselle. The 16th and final caution of the race bunched the field up for an eight-minute sprint to the flag, so the first place getter finished just 1.4 seconds ahead of the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Dallara-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Max Angelelli. Third place went to Brian Friselle in the No. 9 Action Express Chevrolet Corvette DP, 20 seconds down. Chevrolet power hasn't taken the overall win since 2003, eleven years later it scores a one-two-three-four. The No. 6 Muscle Milk/Pickett Racing ORECA-Nissan 03 scored fifth place, the top LMP2 finisher.
The Prototype Challenge class win went to the No. 54 CORE Autosport team of Colin Braun, Jon Bennett, Mark Wilkins and James Gue.

800k car names trademarked globally, suddenly alphanumerics seem reasonable

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

What's in a name? This cliched phrase probably gets tossed out at every marketing meeting that happens when a new car gets its nomenclature. We know the answer, though: everything. The name of a car has all the potential to make or break it with fickle customers that are more conscious than ever about what their purchases say about them.
That's giving headaches to marketing folks across the automotive industry. "It's tough. In 1985 there were about 75,000 names trademarked in the automotive space. Today there are 800,000," Chevrolet's head of marketing, Russ Clark, told Automotive News. Infiniti's president, Johan de Nysschen, echoed Clark's sentiment, saying, "The truth of the matter is, across the world, there is hardly a name or a letter that hasn't already been claimed by one car manufacturer or another. You can go through the alphabet - A, B, C and so forth - and you will quickly see that almost all available letters are taken."
What has that left automakers to do? Get creative. In the case of Infiniti, it made the controversial move to bring all of its cars' names into a new scheme, classifying them as Q#0 for cars and QX#0 for SUVs and crossovers. So the Infiniti G, which was available as the G25 and G37, is now the Q50. The FX37 and FX50 are now the QX70.
