2002 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 35th Anniversary on 2040-cars

Year:2002 Mileage:63208
Location:

West Jordan, Utah, United States

West Jordan, Utah, United States

I am the second owner of this car, the first owner was an elderly fellow from Idaho that took excellent care of it.  The car was bought with all options (see photo of window sticker for description). I have had the car for about three years and it has been a great car with no problems.

Original window sticker was $29,685 as this was a heavily optioned car.

The following has been added to the car:

- VFN fiberglass 2" cowl hood painted to match the car
- BBC ceramic coated headers
- Hooker catback exhaust w/dual chrome tips
- Y2K Corvette wheels (18" back, 17" front)
- PTC torque converter, stall at 3600rpm. Very street able with the lock up. This was a very expensive, top of the line converter and works great.
- Large transmission cooler (hidden behind passenger side fog lamp). Deep transmission pan to increase fluid capacity.

 - Ported throttle body
- SLP lid w/custom Z28 emblem
- Custom stainless steel side and rear emblems
- Custom front bumper Z28 emblem
- Custom Front grille
- Red brake calipers
- Headlights black on non-reflective surface
- "Redded out" amber section on tail lights
- Flat black rear panel

- The car also has a factory GM 3.73 rear end that we swapped from my uncles 17,000 mile Camaro SS. The original rear end was in great shape but we swapped the rear end with a upgraded differential cover when my Uncle went to a Ford 9".

I weighed the car at and it was 3335 lbs.

The car has been adult driven and not abused at all. Always garage kept.

The car gets great gas mileage, I get 19mpg in the city consistently, 1mpg higher than what was listed on the sticker.

Included with purchase are:

- Original window sticker laminated
- Original owner's manual

The car is in great condition. Many people tell me it is the cleanest 4th Gen Camaro that they have seen.

My feedback score is 100% with over 450 transactions so I will treat you honestly and fairly.

On May-19-14 at 06:10:57 PDT, seller added the following information:

Very Low Original Miles. Hard to find a 4th Gen Camaro in this great of condition with this low of mileage.

GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC

Sun, 06 Oct 2013

American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.

Chevy to show redesigned Captiva in Geneva, will it come to US rental lots?

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

Unless you're renting a car or driving through Orlando, Florida (the rental car capital of the US), you'll probably never see a Chevrolet Captiva - the rebadged, fleet-only version of the old Saturn Vue - on our roads, but this crossover is popular in many other parts of the world. As such, Chevrolet announced that the Captiva will be getting an update for 2013, which will be unveiled next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
Coming off a pretty extensive refresh in 2011, the 2013 model year will bring even more changes to the Captiva like LED taillights, new 18-inch wheels and revised fascias with a new grille and fog lights up front and inset chrome exhaust outlets at the rear. New interior features include heated rear seats, dual-zone climate control as well as available options on some of the upper trim levels such as leather seating and keyless entry and start. We have yet to hear back from Chevrolet as to whether or not the updated Captiva will be making its way to a rental lot near you, as the model is only available in the US to fleet buyers.
Alongside the updated Captiva, Chevy is also showing off its new Trax in Europe, where the subcompact crossover will go on sale this spring. GM's press release for these two Geneva-bound models is posted below.

Kurt Busch to shake and bake (again) in Ricky Bobby car at Talladega

Sat, 19 Oct 2013

Kurt Busch will channel Ricky Bobby for another NASCAR race, this time driving a Wonder-sponsored Chevrolet SS, in this weekend's Camping World RV Sales 500 at the Talladega Motor Speedway. Unlike past tie-ins, though, there's actually an element of sponsorship here (the "Me" car was done when Busch was running on a team without sponsorship).
It was arranged by Flower Foods, the new owner of the Wonder brand. Wonder was part of the bankrupt Hostess company, which temporarily exited the US market 2012, and set off the Great Twinkie Shortage.
Busch has made something of a habit of channeling characters from famous racing movies, most recently running Tom Cruise's City Chevrolet livery from Days of Thunder in a Nationwide Series race earlier this year. Busch kicked off his movie-inspired antics, though, at Talladega in 2012, when he raced El Diablo's ("It's like... Spanish for like a fighting chicken") "Me" car complete with a cougar on the hood. He even went so far as to channel the lovable idiot that is Ricky Bobby during the race, dropping a few catchphrases about macchiatos and slingshots.
