Just traded in.....This 74' Camaro is a Z28 Clone. It's got an earlier front clip. It's got 2683 miles since being built. We have all documents for build and receipts. The motor is a 350 bored 30 over, Scat cast crank, keith Black forged pistons, I-Beam rods, Speedpro rings, Comp Cam, Edelbrock performner intake, Pro-Comp alum 190cc heads, Alum girdle, 750 Holly, alum roller rockers and more! It has a aluminum radiator with electric fan, Edlebrock aluminum valve covers and air cleaner.

The rear end is a fresh 10 bolt 8.5" with polished aluminum cover. The transmission is a Saginaw 4 speed with all new clutch components.

It has all poly bushings in control arms, polygraphite Super kit, all new sway bar bushings, center link and traction bars.

I went the receipts and added up over 10k in just big items.

So how does it run and drive?????? I drove this car about 30 miles, it starts awesome, idles great and performs super! It has lots of low end torque and very responsive! No blubber or hestitation! It drives very nice, no wander, no ratlles, no sloppy steering and it brakes great!

The body is straight, it does show some minor dings and imperfections. The weather seals on trunk and doors should be replaced. It does not have a wiper motor or heater core.  The factory gauges are all replaced with nice looking aftermarket gauges. They all seem to work fine. It has a electric fuel pump and fuel management system. It sits on newer craeger SS wheels and BF Goodrich rubber.  It has headers with all new exhaust including "H" pipe.

I would say it's safe to drive this car home anywhere assuming it's not raining!

We welcome an inspection, just call Jeff at 815-378-2965 for an appointment.

Check my feedback, with 100% feedback it proves I call'm the way I see'm!

We are an Illinois licensed franchised Ford dealer, so Illinois residents tax at 6.25% applies and a 165.40 DOC fee will be charged on the winning bid.

We are open to trades as long as its negotiated before bidding, and we reserve the right to end this auction at any time.

It will come with the original hood painted to match also.

2014 Chevrolet Impala [w/video]

Fri, 15 Mar 2013

Can A Fleet Queen Become a Fullsize King?
On paper, the Chevrolet Impala is a pretty strong seller, posting annual sales that have hovered right around 170,000 units for the last two years, but it only takes one trip to practically any rental car agency to discover where the majority of those sales have come from. In fact, General Motors told Autoblog that a full 70 percent of Impala sales last year went to fleet companies for things like rental cars and government vehicles. Logic tells us that this is neither good for resale values nor name equity, so Chevrolet is getting ready to roll out an all-new Impala with improved comfort, styling and technology, hoping to turn the tables on its retail-to-fleet ratio.
Chevrolet's sedans have come on quite strong in the last few months with the introduction of the Cruze diesel and the SS sedan, but while these will likely be low-volume sellers, there's more pressure for the new Impala to perform well as GM looks to slash fleet sales and compete with the wide variety of full-size sub-luxury sedans. Riding on a platform shared with the Buick LaCrosse and Cadillac XTS, the 2014 Impala will compete against the Hyundai Azera, Ford Taurus and Toyota Avalon on the more traditional side, while also looking to take a bite out of somewhat sportier models like the Chrysler 300/Dodge Charger twins and the Nissan Maxima. We headed to sunny San Diego to see if this totally new Impala can stand on its own without the assistance of fleet companies and rental agencies. [w/video

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.
