2000 Chevrolet Crew Cab K3500 4X4 Diesel Long Bed w/Single Rear Wheels

This truck is 4 wheel drive with the 6.5L diesel & automatic transmission.  The body has 255,000 miles but the motor only has about 140,000.  I have the original window sticker and receipts for everything that has been done to it since it was new.  The interior features leather seats w/console, PW, PDL, AC, cruise control, tilt wheel, rear window defogger and more.

The motor and automatic transmission are strong and have never been beat on or modified.   The 4 wheel drive is in good working order.   The truck has not had a plow on it.  The interior is in great shape with the exception of the drivers seat.  The carpet has always been covered and is in very good condition.  The air conditioning is not blowing could so it probably needs a recharge.

As far as the body, the cab is in good shape except for the usual rust on the cab corners.  The running boards seem to have protected the rockers.  The passenger side is in pretty good shape but the rust on the drivers side is starting to come through.  New panels for these trucks are readily available and not that expensive.   I have two white southern doors and a southern back bumper that I will include for the right price.

This is a great truck that was built for comfort and towing.  Would make an inexpensive tow vehicle for your camper, boat or race car.  I just towed a 5000# trailer back from Wisconsin with no issues.   I set the cruise control at 70 and it flew right along and never missed a beat.  You might expect a one ton truck to be rough riding but this truck runs down the road like a Cadillac.  The long wheelbase helps with that.   I planned on keeping the truck and for example, I just put a $300 tri-fold tonneau cover on less than a month ago.   Selling the truck as-is but the only reason I am selling it is it turns out it's too much truck for my needs and so I bought a smaller one.

Passed PA inspection in January and has a 1/2015 sticker.

Asking $4500 and if you're looking for a work horse, it's well worth the money.  Kelly Blue Book in fair condition is $6494.  Good condition is $7094.

The truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the listing early if it sells.

Next-gen GM SUVs caught wearing new boxy bodies [w/video]

Wed, 15 May 2013

We recently drove the brand-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and found it to be vastly improved compared to the outgoing model. And now that The General's pickup trucks have been squared away, it's time to focus our attention onto their passenger-friendly companions, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon (above).
Our spy photographers have passed along a huge smattering of photos (and a video), showing the new SUVs out testing. Both the short- and long-wheelbase models were spied, and while the overall shape of the vehicles hasn't changed all that much, we expect the updates to be substantial. In addition to new powertrain options, like GM's new small-block V8, we expect the interiors of both SUVs to get massive makeovers, providing better materials throughout their cabins and quieter, more refined environments. We even hear that some trick new suspension developments may be in store for upper-end models.
Visually, these spy shots allow us to see a couple of new details on the SUVs' front and rear fascias, including LED running lamps on the Yukon and some interesting LED taillamp treatments. Of course, the obvious third party missing from this set of photos is the Cadillac Escalade, but as we reported earlier, GM is working to further differentiate the 'Slade from the rest of the fullsize SUV lineup, and is working to make the new model "much less ostentatious."

Expect greater differentiation in GM's next-generation SUVs

Thu, 03 Jan 2013

General Motors says its next-generation Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade models will offer shoppers improved interior differentiation. Car and Driver recently caught up with Chris Hilts, GM's creative manager of interior design, who said that the cabins will all feature unique instrument panels, consoles, center stacks and switchgear moving forward. Apparently GM is now aware that consumers may be bothered by the fact that today's $85,000 Escalade has effectively the same cabin as a $45,000 Tahoe. Hilts says SUV buyers want more refinement than their pickup purchasing counterparts - and those same buyers also want their SUVs to have more exterior differentiation between the company's Silverado and Sierra pickup lines. Shocking.
That all sounds good to us, but we've heard this song and dance before. GM made big waves about how different the new-for-2013 Silverado and Sierra would look from each other, but judging by what we've seen so far, GM's stylists are painting in shades rather than with the full spectrum. Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.
