1970 Chevrolet C10 Pickup, 454 Auto, A/c, Tilt, Tach Dash on 2040-cars
Eau Claire, Wisconsin, United States
I am selling my 1970 Chevy C10 short bed. It has a 454 big block and an automatic trans. It also has factory A/C. Other options include in-dash tach and a tilt column. Last summer I installed a new aluminum radiator to keep it running nice and cool. I also put a new Edelbrock electric choke carb on to make it run nice and smooth and start right up. The A/C looks to be complete and installed but needs to be charged. The bottom of the pickup has had some detailing done and looks nice. The interior in in really good condition. The truck really goes down the road nice. The steering is nice and tight and goes down the road straight. There doesn't seem to be and noises or rattles going down the road. The speedometer is off by about 20mph but works well. The tires are new as well as the 15"x10" Cragar wheels. A new front bumper with driving lights was just installed. The trim on the truck is original and a few pieces have some dings. The paint is in good condition with a few small imperfections. There are a couple bubbles in the corners of the doors starting to show as you can see in the pics. Overall the paint condition is driver quality. It shines very well and looks great. It has a new Truxxedo tonneau cover and a bedmat. There is also a brakelight strip installed between the box and rear bumper. The exhaust sounds great with new pipes and Flowmaster mufflers. Drivability is very nice with power steering and power disc brakes. Dark tinted windows finish off the awesome look of the truck. Please come and take a look at the truck and take a test drive. Call, text or email me with any questions. 715-828-2504 is my number. Thanks and happy bidding

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage
Thu, 24 Jan 2013Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it
Wed, 06 Nov 2013We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.
Watch NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon put one over on a used car dealer... sorta
Wed, 13 Mar 2013Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.
