Unfortunately, due to a move, I no longer have a garage storage space and this beautiful truck cannot sit outside! The truck and motor are fresh and do not even have 100 miles on it yet. Here are just a few of the features: POWERTRAIN: -1965 396 BBC block bored 30 over, freshly built and broken in. -iron oval port heads, ported and polished with 3 angle valve job with 2.19/1.88 stainless valves. -Isky Hydraulic lifter cam, crane roller rockers -Edelbrock Performer RPM airgap intake manifold -Holley HP double pumper mechanical secondary race carb -K&N filter charger air cleaner with lid -GM performance cast aluminum valve covers with baffles and K&N breathers - MSD full ignition including digital 6 control box with rev limiter and optional timing retard, Blaster coil, and Pro billet distributor. - Taylor 10mm spark plug wires with matching wire separators - Powermaster chrome high amp alternator - Powermaster megatorque starter FUEL SYSTEM: -Custom stainless fuel tank mounted underbed with built in bungs for AN fittings -Full 8AN braided fuel system from tank to carb(not fake dress up braid) -Holley "black" electric fuel pump -Barry Grant fuel filter and pressure regulator EXHAUST: - Hooker Super Competition headers, equal length tubes and ceramic coated. - dual magnaflow exhaust with side exit COOLING: - Edelbrock aluminum high flow water pump - aluminum 4 core radiator with twin flex lite electric fans which operate on temp sensor -March performance serpentine pulley system. Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows
Wed, 13 Mar 2013While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
Chevy might've pulled out of NASCAR if it weren't for new Gen 6 car

On one hand, it's some of the closest racing anywhere in motorsports, with actual passing and door-handle-to-door-handle action as a matter of course. But on the other, it's become template racing - a personality-driven sport more about the drivers than any sort of loyalty to a particular automaker. The Car Of Tomorrow format really rammed that message home, with a racecar's identity coming down to little more than headlamp stickers slapped on the nose. That's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, but we've wondered for some time what's in it for the automakers, who pay big money to stay in a series that has had little increasingly little do with street car sales, let alone innovation.
Apparently General Motors was beginning to wonder the same thing. In a new ESPN report, Rick Hendrick, team owner of Hendrick Motorsports, suggests that GM would have seriously considered leaving NASCAR if it wasn't for the move away from the COT to the new Gen 6 racer. According to Hendrick, GM North America boss Mark Reuss spearheaded the charge away from the 2007 COT and toward a racecar with clearer automaker ties - cars like the new Chevrolet SS racer shown above. PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place.
