1957 Chevy Post Car on 2040-cars

I am selling a 1957 210 post. I bought the car to restore. Some things have changed and I have a baby on the way so there is no way I will be able to get this project started and finished.
I bought this car from a local farmer. He has had the car for the last 38 years. The car wasn't started for the last 10 years I ripped out the old fuel tank and put in a temporary fuel cell and it fired right up.
The car is a runner driver. We went through the car and fixed some things in the front end and brakes. Also comes with a brand new gas tank and some extra parts.
Motor wise it has a 283 with a Muncie 4 speed.
The car has some rust in the quarter panels. other then that it is a very straight car.

Fri, 08 Mar 2013Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.

Fri, 25 Jan 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette really grinds Peter De Lorenzo's gears. Or, more accurately, the self-anointed Auto Extremist has an issue with what he sees as mismanagement of the legendary sports car by General Motors executives. In a new editorial on his website, De Lorenzo argues it's time to split Corvette off from Chevrolet to create an all-new brand, complete with a model range with at least three new takes on the sports car. Capable of fully leveraging the successes of the Corvette Racing program and brandishing the full might of GM's technical prowess, the Corvette brand would theoretically give Porsche something to sweat over.
Sure, that sounds like a party, but given GM's troubled track record when it comes to launching (let alone managing) brands, we say that's slippery slope that could just as easily end with the whole Corvette franchise in the scrap bin.
