1976 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special Brougham Sedan 4-door 8.2l on 2040-cars
Houston, Texas, United States
This vehicle was purchased new by my friend In Houston Tx. The car spent most of it's life in Louisana. I am the second owner. The Air Conditioning was converted to R-134a and the VIR was converted to a fixed orfice cycling clutch design. The car was restored in the 1980's with new headliner, vinyl top, re-painted and the paint is beginning to fail. There is some rust under the vinyl top. I put American Classic tires on it with the correct whitewall width and they have less than 1000 miles on them. I was backing in my driveway with the tailgate down on my truck with glaring evening sunlight when I tapped the left turn signal light and broke the lens. The chrome looks good with the exception of the center section of the rear bumper where the chrome is peeling. The dashboard is free of cracks and looks good. The steering wheel cover plastic is peeling which is typical of these Cadillacs. I noticed the seek and scan radio does not seek or scan anymore, but still works good. I am includingf two extra radios. The power antenna doesn't work. The engine starts quickly and easily and runs great. The transmission shifts fine with no issues. Front brake calipers and brake master cylinder was just replaced. Rear bumper fillers have been replaced. I have many extra parts that can go with this car; two extra radios,an extra set of factory floor mats, original sealed beam headlamps(not halogen), and other miscellaneous parts. This is a beautiful car with great lines and I hate to part with it, but 9 cars is too many and I don't have time for this one any more.

South Dakota dealer filled to brim with classic cars
Wed, 12 Mar 2014Other than the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and Mount Rushmore, South Dakota isn't generally a hot topic, but that just means that cool stuff can hide in the open waiting to be discovered. Case in point: the classic car dealer Frankman Motor Company that operates three locations in Sioux Falls, SD.
Unearthed by the folks at Bring a Trailer, Frankman is a treasure trove of vintage, American iron. Their collection is full of the type of vehicles your irresponsible but cool uncle would show up with when you were a kid. Even better, these cars are priced at a level a working man can afford.
If you are lusting about a cruiser then Frankman has a 1956 Cadillac Deville Hard Top Sedan (pictured right) with 82,896 miles for $12,975. It's painted a color called Cascade Grey, but looks more like a pastel purple in pictures. While it needs some repairs to the accessories, the Caddy runs and drives, which is all you really need.
Lansing builds its millionth Cadillac
Wed, 18 Sep 2013Cadillacs are built at plants across North America. The Escalade is assembled in Texas, the SRX in Mexico and the XTS in Ontario. But the bulk of Cadillac's lineup - or the smaller members of the family, at least - are built in Michigan. And while the upcoming ELR will be built alongside the Chevy Volt at the Detroit/Hamtramck facility (which incidentally opened with the Cadillac Eldorado back in '86), the majority of those Cadillacs built in Michigan are handled by the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant.
In fact, Lansing Grand River just celebrated its millionth Cadillac built. The landmark millionth vehicle is a new 2014 CTS sedan in Red Obsession Tintcoat. The facility opened in 2001 and has built Cadillacs almost exclusively since then, assembling the CTS and ATS model lines, though in a couple of years it will also handle production of the Chevy Camaro.
2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe
Thu, 30 Oct 2014Cadillac has become a very, very different company since the dawn of the new millenium. Its turn-of-the-century lineup, consisting of staid offerings like the Seville, DeVille and Eldorado, represented the Old Cadillac. These cars were plagued with Old GM quality issues and catered to a more elderly audience. Since the company's Art and Science design language arrived, though, we've seen Cadillac flesh out its lineup in a big way, introducing notable and (so far) enduring products, like the the CTS, SRX and most recently, the ATS.
With the CTS tackling the 5 Series segment and the SRX duking it out with the Lexus RX and its classmates, the ATS has been left with the tough task of battling the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, among others. Critically, at least, it has excelled in this role, but it's still working on finding its feet sales-wise. On paper, broadening the model range by adding a two-door personal luxury coupe could help.
After a week with the ATS Coupe, though, we've found a car that, while retaining the standard model's excellent driving character, doesn't quite offer enough visual excitement to stand up to other cars in its segment.
