Calgary, Alberta, Canada

I have a 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham for sale. I am the second owner , the first being a Priest from Los Angeles who purchased the car from Lou Elers Cadillac. They were the biggest Cadillac Dealership in the greater Los Angeles area for more than 30 years. The car is all original and in Fantastic condition for its age. It has never been smoked in or even seen bad weather. Always garaged and maintained religiously (No Pun Intended) .It is loaded with every conceivable option in the day with the exception of two as far as I know ( Astro Roof and Fuel injection ). It is RUST FREE and all options work 100%. All glass is scratch and crack free . The dash, Steering Wheel and arm rests are also crack free ( rare). Also the Rear bumper surrounds are Crack free and Original It was a Special order colour ( Auburn Firemist ) with glove soft White Leather interior . The only items that I repaired since my ownership ( 2 Years ) was the heater core ( New) ,New Battery , retrofitted the A/C to 134A ( Very Cold) and replaced the muffler. The car runs like a dream , Starts first try every time , it just Purrs and the Transmission shifts smoothly. The tires are fairly new with about 2500 miles on them. The brakes work perfect and there is no Shakes , Shimmeys , or Vibrations. All of the options work perfectly and it has the " Fuel Monitor" option that works great. Automatic Load Leveling Rear Air shocks also work great , Factory original. The vynal  roof is also perfect. The reason that I am selling this gorgeous car is that I am thinning down my fleet (7 cars ). I'm hoping the car goes to a collector or someone who treats this work of art with the respect it deserves. A $500 Non-Refundable Deposit will be required to seal the deal ( PayPal ). Thanks and " Good Luck " with the auction. No Warranty is exspressed or implied .Any questions I can be reached at 403-807-2709 ( Carmen ) .

GM winding down Chevrolet brand in Europe

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

If you've taken even a cursory look at GM's European strategy and wondered how it can target the market there with both Chevrolet and Opel/Vauxhall, you're not alone. In fact General Motors itself has found it difficult to justify the two-pronged approach. That's why it's essentially pulling Chevy from the European marketplace.
Instead of trying to ply European buyers with what are mostly former Daewoo products rebadged as Chevys, GM will now let Opel (or Vauxhall in the UK) represent its mass-market aspirations. Chevrolet will keep its presence in Russia and other former Soviet markets, and will continue selling certain niche products in Eastern and Western Europe. The Corvette, for example, has long been sold in Europe through Cadillac dealerships, which for its part is currently "finalizing plans for expanding in the European market".
While the shift in strategy is expected to help GM get a stronger foothold in the European market in the long run, in the short term the restructuring will cost it dearly: between $700 million and $1 billion, according to its own estimates, split between the last quarter of this year and the first half of the next. 2016 Cadillac ATS-V brandishes 450 horses and 6-speed manual

Tue, 11 Nov 2014

Details about the hotly anticipated 2016 Cadillac ATS-V are tumbling out, and they look to be everything we could ask for in a high-performance Caddy coupe.
According to Road & Track, the ATS-V will use a version of the twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 from the CTS Vsport, but the wick will be turned up to 450 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. In glorious news for driving enthusiasts everywhere, that potent mill will be available with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic.
According to R&T, the engine has a heap of high-performance tech to let it make the extra ponies, including titanium connecting rods, two water-to-air intercoolers, titanium turbines for the turbos and an additional radiator dedicated to cooling the gearbox and electronically locking differential. Keeping it all planted are a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, and a suspension with 50 percent more roll stiffness.

Cadillac sales chief Peffer resigns amidst slow sales

Fri, 20 Jun 2014

Cadillac continues to hemorrhage executives, as it's just seen its fourth high-level departure in the past year. Vice President of Global Strategic Development Don Butler (who defected to Ford) and European President and Managing Director Susan Docherty both left the company of their own volition, while Chase Hawkins, Cadillac's vice president of sales and service, was fired following a "violation of policy" in July of 2013. Strangely, it's Hawkins' replacement, Bill Peffer (shown above), who has handed in his papers this time around.
"Bill left to pursue other interests. Kurt McNeil replaces him, effective immediately," spokesman David Caldwell told Autoblog via email.
McNeil last held the VP of sales and service position back in 2012. He's currently the vice president of US sales for all of General Motors. According to The Detroit News, McNeil will take on the post in what is likely an interim capacity.
