1988 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz on 2040-cars
Socorro, New Mexico, United States
This rare Eldorado Biarritz with the trunk lid mounted continental kit is simply a gorgeous car. It has been well cared for by its former owner, the interior and exterior are in amazing condition, with minor wear on the front leather seats. The car fax shows no problems. I have personally driven the car over 400 miles and it rides and drives like a new one. The 4.5 V8 has plenty of power, it averaged 28 miles per gallon on the trip from Phoenix to New Mexico. I am not sure, but i think a new compressor would fix the problem with the air conditioner. Every thing else on the car works perfectly, except the radio antenna which is unplugged. I am going to check on that and see if it needs replacing. The tires were put on the car in June so they have very few miles on them. The car has been garaged kept and most of the time it had a car cover on it. It is an Arizona car so there no rust issues. Don't pass up a chance to own a classic like this, this is its original condition. I will include the car fax report with the car. You can't go wrong with this car.
Good luck bidding and contact me if you have any other questions. Delivery able to the lower 48 states for $1.25 a loaded mile. Check NADA price, you will be surprised. |

2015 Cadillac ATS sedan gets early reveal in making-of video
Mon, 30 Jun 2014Cadillac is apparently preparing to roll out a minor facelift for the ATS sedan - which we know not because General Motors has already revealed it or because we're looking at it in a fresh batch of spy shots (though we've seen that too), but because a behind-the-scenes video from the filming of its commercial has leaked out online. Which may be bad news for Cadillac, and even worse news for the film production company, but good news for us, because we get to see it ahead of schedule.
The revised sports sedan seems to be sporting a new front bumper and less egg-cratey grille with Caddy's new wreath-less badge at its center, all apparently put in place to bring the sedan more in line with the new ATS coupe.
We're sure Cadillac will be revealing the updated 2015 ATS sedan shortly, but you can scope it out right now in the video below. By way of comparison, we've included an image gallery of the current ATS, released back in 2013, as well.
Cadillac logo losing its wreath?
Tue, 23 Jul 2013The easily recognizable Cadillac logo dates back to the company's founding in the early 1900s, but over the last 110 years, there has been an on-again, off-again love affair with the wreath surrounding the crest. Cadillac's current badge design has used the wreath since the 1980s, but Automotive News is reporting that GM's luxury division is planning to ditch the laurel wreath for a cleaner-looking logo.
The new logo could make its debut as early as next month on a new concept car that will be revealed at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, although the report also says that it might be until 2015 before it makes its way to a production car. Even then, it doesn't like anything has been finalized yet, as the article also says that plans could still change.
As Cadillac looks to improve its global presence as a luxury automaker, the report says that a simpler logo could make it easier for designers to incorporate the badge onto the car - either in the grille or above the grille (possibly in a fashion similar to Mercedes-Benz). Head on over to the AN article, which shows the Cadillac logo dating back to its earliest design.
Next-gen Cadillac Escalade debuting October 7 in NYC
Wed, 14 Aug 2013Cadillac will unveil the next Escalade in October, at an event in New York City. It will be the sole member of GM's large SUV family to not get a debut at the Texas State Fair, which we don't think is all that surprising, considering the kind of clientele attracted by the big Caddy.
The new truck, from the few teaser images and spy shots we've seen, has evolved with the rest of the Cadillac range. We've got a glimpse of its tall, thin headlights, which look like an evolution of what's on the current truck. Expect some kind of egg-crate grille, reminiscent of the new CTS and ATS, while Cadillac's CUE system should feature heavily in what we hope is a thoroughly revised cabin.
The event takes place on October 7, so check back then for more info on the all-new Escalade.
