My car is the classic style long hood, big V8, Red on Red 1975 Cadillac Eldorado! The car has been driven daily at times, and even in the cold Mid Atlantic winter started just fine. I have had the car about a year. This is a wonderful driving car with low mileage. There are a few small rust spots around the rear window where the vinyl top meets the sheet metal above the trunk lid, the Eldorado needs to be painted to blend in the new bumper fillers and needed minor repairs, it’s a beautiful full-size Red Cadillac.  The heat and AC, power seats, and power windows all work.  My Caddy blows warm air in the winter and the AC comes on and blows in the summer.  The AC needs to be converted to R134 and charged. Lastly, there is a noticeable scratch behind the passenger door. The car is for sale locally for $4300.00 and on other sites also. I reserve the right to sell my Eldorado when I get a suitable offer. I planned to keep the Eldorado except: I have serious health issues that are not going away; I have several car projects that I will not finish due to health; I really want to get this car to someone who wants to enjoy it. This is a driver, you can enjoy it while you work on the little stuff. The windows, seats, and even the AC works. It is rare to find one of these with working AC, or that even blows air, this one works, it needs conversion and charge but it does work.

I’ve sold the car before and here I am trying to sell it again. Your bid is a contractual commitment. I am a disabled Vet, micro business trying to make ends meet.  You bid, you buy it.  I absolutely hate having to be heavy handed but it isn't a joke, and it isn't funny to buy a car then decline to pay, please follow through.

The Eldorado is missing a hood ornament, I have one that I will let go with the car.

A percentage of everything I sell is donated to help other disabled Vets. Help me help others.  Every bid is appreciated, thank you.

Nonrefundable deposit is 10% of actual sales price.  I want the Eldorado picked up within two weeks of sale, but I understand you might need a little more time, shippers work on their schedule not ours. If you bid please pay for it.  I will work with you on geting it shipped.

NOTE: My Eldorado is driven frequently, and is for sale locally and via other sites and locations. After being stiffed twice, I reserve the right to end the auction/sale when I have a hard offer.

Cadillac ELR, Nissan Resonance and Ford Atlas win Eyes on Design awards

Fri, 18 Jan 2013

This year's annual Eyes on Design awards were presented at the end of press days for the Detroit Auto Show on Tuesday. Given out for the best production and concept car designs that debuted at the show, and voted on by an esteemed panel of actual car designers, this year's award for best production vehicle design went to the 2014 Cadillac ELR. The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, which was the show favorite among Autoblog editors, apparently did not impress the Eyes on Design judges enough with its all-new vent-festooned design.
The award for best concept design was actually split as a tie among the Nissan Resonance and Ford Atlas concepts. Last year's winners were the 2013 Ford Fusion and the Lexus LF-LC concept.
The Eyes on Design organization also presented a new honor this year called the Catalyst Award to Bob Lutz, former Vice Chairman of General Motors. Lutz is reported to have given a defense of design in his acceptance speech, arguing that advancements in quality across the industry as a whole have made good design a key differentiator for buyers.

2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe

Thu, 30 Oct 2014

Cadillac has become a very, very different company since the dawn of the new millenium. Its turn-of-the-century lineup, consisting of staid offerings like the Seville, DeVille and Eldorado, represented the Old Cadillac. These cars were plagued with Old GM quality issues and catered to a more elderly audience. Since the company's Art and Science design language arrived, though, we've seen Cadillac flesh out its lineup in a big way, introducing notable and (so far) enduring products, like the the CTS, SRX and most recently, the ATS.
With the CTS tackling the 5 Series segment and the SRX duking it out with the Lexus RX and its classmates, the ATS has been left with the tough task of battling the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, among others. Critically, at least, it has excelled in this role, but it's still working on finding its feet sales-wise. On paper, broadening the model range by adding a two-door personal luxury coupe could help.
After a week with the ATS Coupe, though, we've found a car that, while retaining the standard model's excellent driving character, doesn't quite offer enough visual excitement to stand up to other cars in its segment.

Facelifted Cadillac ATS spied completely uncovered

Thu, 27 Feb 2014

The Cadillac ATS makes for a pretty svelte little coupe, and General Motors appears to know it, because multiple, completely undisguised prototype sedans have been spotted testing wearing what look like many of the forthcoming coupe's body parts.
Not only does it wear at least the outline of the brand's new, broader crest, it has the same front air dam with continuous chrome strip found on the coupe. The only real difference is that it has the somewhat taller side view mirrors from the sedan, rather than the narrower, longer ones from the coupe. Around back, the changes are harder to spot because the test car is outfitted with an unpainted lower bumper. However, it seems to lack the chrome strip that offsets the lower portion of the coupe from the sedan.
The ATS sedan is already a looker, but it is good to see Cadillac is taking a second pass using what it learned on the coupe. There's no word yet on when this revised sedan is going to hit the streets - let alone what changes will take place beneath the skin - but we're thinking it looks about right for 2015.
