Up for sale is my 1997 Cadillac Deville sedan. This car is fully loaded and is in incredible condition for the age with only 92000 miles. This car has power everything windows, locks, heated mirrors, antenna, front 10 way power seats with lumbar adjust and driver side memory and exit function, leather seats and steering wheel with tilt and audio/climate controls, cruise control, digital dash board, automatic climate control with dual side temp settings, rear defrost, auto dimming rear view mirror, dual lighted vanity mirrors, front and rear center armrests with storage and cup holders, carpeted floor mats, and key less entry. The outside has almost new matching Hancook tires with 2005 Cadillac DTS alloy rims dealer installed body color grill and rear license plate bezel. This car has a rebuilt 4.6 liter V8 engine and 4 speed automatic transmission. The car runs and drives great and actually gets decent highway fuel mileage. I averaged 25MPG on a 300 mile trip to Long Island. This car includes 2 sets of keys with remotes and original owners manual. This car has a clean Pennsylvania title.

I have owned this car since 2009 and it has always been well maintained. In 2009 I bought a set of 2005 Deville rims and had them put on. 2010 I had a REBUILT ENGINE installed as well as new spark plugs, plug wires, thermostat, fuel filter, transmission filter and fluid flush, coolant flush, brake fluid flush, and power steering flush, 2011 rear air shocks. 2012 battery and air conditioning was recharged. 2013 alternator. 2014 front swat bar end links. The vehicle has fresh PA inspection and emission until May 2015.

The only bad thing about this car: it has developed an engine oil leak and the air conditioning will need to be re charged. The leak is not massive but does leave some oil on the drive way and you can smell it burn when it hits the exhaust. This is a great deal for somebody who knows these cars and can appreciate all the work that has already been done to it. 267-625-3521 Please call for more pictures or to test drive the vehicle. $2800 OBO

GM to build $1.3 billion Cadillac plant in China

Wed, 08 May 2013

General Motors has gotten approval to build a $1.3 billion manufacturing facility for its Cadillac brand in China. China's National Development and Reform Commission signed off on plans for GM to build the plant in the country's Shanghai's Jinqiao zone; construction is expected to begin in June of this year. According to a Bloomberg report, the plant will have an annual production capacity of 150,000 units.
No surprise here, but Cadillac would like to sell a lot more cars in the plush Chinese luxury market. The brand moved only 30,010 cars in China last year, compared with 400k for Audi, and about 330k for BMW. With Cadillac already telling us that it would be moving production of its XTS sedan to China - a production decision that saves having to pay 25-percent import tariffs - approval of the factory is a critical win for the company.
In fact, according to earlier comments by GM China president Bob Socia, it's at least conceivable that Chinese-built Cadillacs could be shipped back to the US for sale. The brave new world of globalization, getting stranger by the minute.

GM extending warranties on Cadillac CTS-V and Chevy Camaro ZL1 for supercharger issue

Wed, 04 Jun 2014

Okay General Motors, we've sat by and watched you recall the compact cars, crossovers and pickup trucks, and aside from reporting on it, we've been fairly quiet. This, though, this will not do. We can almost tolerate the recalls on the bread-and-butter cars, but leave the performance vehicles alone.
According to a report from The Car Connection, GM has discovered a problem with the superchargers of the 6.2-liter V8s found in the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and the Cadillac CTS-V. Apparently, the issue rests around the internal bearing shaft grease, which can become contaminated (we aren't sure with what). If left unchecked, it'll first lead to a rattle at idle, which goes away under slight throttle. The real warning stage is when a high-pitched squeal develops, signaling that the bearing shaft has failed. Naturally, severe engine damage is the next step (although it's possible that the engine will also just refuse to turnover, although neither case is desirable).
According to TCC, GM will replace the superchargers on vehicles that have exhibited symptoms of bearing shaft failure free of charge. It will also, allegedly, be extending the warranty on all supercharged ZL1s and CTS-Vs to 10 years or 120,000 miles (whichever comes first), from the date of purchase. Officially, only 2009 to 2013 CTS-Vs and 2012 to 2013 ZL1s are suffering from this issue.

GM recalling Cadillac ATS, XTS, Chevy Impala over faulty brake lamps

Thu, 06 Jun 2013

General Motors has issued a recall covering 1,627 sedans over faulty brake lamps. Both the 2013 Cadillac ATS and XTS are affected by this problem, as is the 2014 Chevrolet Impala.
According to an official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, "the brake lamps may intermittently flash without the brakes being applied and the cruise control may disengage" on these vehicles. The report does not state that the brakes themselves are faulty, but rather that "if the brake lamps flash when the vehicle is not slowing, a following driver may not adjust vehicle speed when the vehicle is in fact braking."
This marks the first recall for the 2013 Cadillac ATS, as well as the recently introduced 2014 Chevy Impala. In late 2012, over 12,000 Cadillac XTS models were recalled due to a head restraint issue.
