SOME HISTORY ON THIS VEHICLE:
This Cadillac was purchased by us about 45 days ago from an insurance company directly. The vehicle sustained cosmetic damage to the right side quarter panel and rear bumper. When the vehicle arrived it was a run and drive vehicle with no airbags deployed or frame damage. No warning lights were illuminated when the vehicle was purchased by us. THE DOCUMENTED PHOTOS FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY ARE LISTED BELOW SO YOUR NOT JUST TAKING MY WORD FOR IT. All the parts were purchased brand new from Cadillac including the right side quarter panel skin, rear bumper, right tail light, and all other minor cosmetic trims and garnishments. This vehicle was not a major project based on our experience and you can see from the photos provided that the damages were cosmetic. The entire rear end was repainted, including left and right quarter panels which were blended to the doors and the rear trunk and bumper. The paint matches properly and is a beautiful metallic black that illuminates this unique vehicle. Currently the vehicle has been aligned and everything is in proper working condition. It is a fully loaded model and also has special add on features that give this vehicle an msrp of $73.615. It currently holds a CA REBUILT SALVAGE TITLE and has passed all the state required safety inspections so insuring and registering the vehicle will be no issue. If you would like the vehicle registered in CALIFORNIA we can handle all the paperwork processing at no additional fee and register the vehicle under your name with no issues. Considering we have it listed for $40K this is a great bargain. Do not miss your chance at owning such a rare and powerful vehicle for almost half off original sticker and about 30% off other listings on ebay. KEEP IN MIND THIS IS THE COUPE, THIS VEHICLE IS THE PURE ILLUSTRATION OF THE V SERIES EXOTIC CADILLAC WAS AIMING FOR. JUST MY 2 CENTS, THE COUPE STANDS OUT AS AN EXOTIC CAR WHERE AS THE SEDAN CTS-V LOOKS LIKE A TYPICAL CTS. THIS CAR GETS MAJOR ATTENTION, I WOULD KNOW SINCE I HAVE DRIVEN OVER 25 SEPARATE SUPERCARS IN SAN DIEGO. DO NOT GIVE A LOW BALL CHEAP OFFER BECAUSE WE WERE NOT CHEAP WHEN IT CAME TO REPAIRING THIS VEHICLE AND PAID FOR THE QUALITY THIS VEHICLE DEMANDS ***ONLY BRAND NEW PARTS WERE USED***. Feel free to give me a call if you have any direct questions and are a serious buyer, I have driven this vehicle and have extensive experience with high end supercars like this. -TOM (619) 764-9459

Weekly Recap: Auto execs face life in prison for recall delays under proposed legislation
Sat, 09 Aug 2014
The stiff punishments are part of broader transportation legislation, but clearly McCaskill has automakers in her sights.
Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill threw down the gauntlet this week, proposing a bill that could send auto executives to prison for life if they were found to have delayed a recall. She also wants to eliminate the limit for fines for auto safety violations, which are currently capped at $35 million.
Cadillac to vie for Secret Service armored car contract, new Beast?
Wed, 03 Jul 2013President Obama has used the same armored limo since his inauguration in 2008. Known by many as The Beast, the Presidential Limo was provided by Cadillac and earned its nickname in large part because of its massive size, which isn't surprising considering that its Caddy-shaped bodywork is said to sit atop a heavy-duty truck chassis.
It seems the Secret Service may be in the market for a Beast replacement, having issued a request for proposals for a new armored limo. According to Motor Trend, Obama's backup limo is a leftover from the Bush Administration, so it will be interesting to see if this new machine will serve as a replacement for The Beast or for its backup. The contract is to be awarded by September 29, 2013.
The boys from MT contacted Cadillac, Lincoln and Chrysler, and Chrysler is the only one that would confirm that it is not pursuing the contract. Cadillac may have the inside track, as it has provided Presidential limos since 1993, but Lincoln also has a long and storied history of chauffeuring the President.
GM design boss Welburn says Lincoln isn't a Cadillac rival [w/poll]
Thu, 05 Dec 2013General Motors Vice President of Global Design, Ed Welburn, had some dismissive words for a certain cross-town luxury brand during an interview with Car and Driver. When asked about his thoughts on Lincoln, Welburn deflected, before saying, "I don't consider Lincoln to be a competitor for Cadillac."
"They're not a global luxury brand. I don't consider them a competitor. Are they a competitor for Buick? Quite possibly. But not for Cadillac," GM's head designer explained. Welburn, who's been at the helm of GM Design North America since 2003 and is the first to hold the position of VP of Global Design, has been instrumental in the styling renaissance at GM, so predictably, Car and Driver's interview with him focused on the design aspect of cars.
During the interview, Welburn explicitly denied plans for a reborn Cadillac XLR, even as a new Chevrolet Corvette is hitting the market and strides are being made with Cadillac's V-Series performance arm saying, "We have a lot of cars that we're working on for the Cadillac brand. The XLR is not one of them right now."
