Selling my 2004 Cadillac CTS RWD 3.6 Engine (not the 2.8) We have had the car almost two years, it has been a daily driver. I bought the car as is shown in the pictures, but the engine and transmission work great since I've been keeping up on the maintainace. I've been using Mobil 1 synthetic since I got the car. I recently changed the front brakes and I have had the transmission fluid flushed last fall I also charged the A/C last summer. Other than that the car has not given me any mechanical problems at all, and I have to say this is one of the best cars I ever have drove. Look at the pictures and see what an easy fix this is or as is that is up to you. I reserve the right to end the auction early if I get a local buyer wanting to take the car. I suggest if you live close by take a test drive and check it out. If you win the auction or use the buy it now option I will require $250.00 deposit non refundable within 24 hours. The title is clear and is available once I receive the full payment. I only ask to give me 30 minutes to go to my bank and retrieve the title. As always I encourage to ask as many questions as you may have and also understand that the car has no warranties and is being sold as is. GM claims it's first to sell million 30+ mpg vehicles
Fri, 04 Jan 2013As we continue to put together all the data for the year-end edition of By The Numbers, General Motors has announced that it sold more than a million vehicles in the US last year that achieved at least 30 miles per gallon on the highway. More impressively, GM managed this feat using multiple strategies including small vehicle size, turbocharged engines and hybrid or plug-in technologies across four brands (Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC) accounting for 13 separate models. This number will grow even more in 2013 thanks to cars like the all-electric Spark, the diesel Cruze, the range-extended Cadillac ELR and the Buick Encore compact CUV.
GM's small car sales were up 39 percent last year helping to attain this million-sales mark for 30-mpg models, and almost 40 percent of all GM sales consisted of cars with fuel-efficient I4 engines. In regards to more advanced means of improving fuel economy, GM says that it plans on having 500,000 vehicles with "some form of electrification" on the road by 2017.

Carpool Deville aims to be the world's fastest hot tub
Wed, 16 Jul 2014The world needs crazy inventors with wild dreams. While we might not long for the things that they create, their contraptions certainly make the day a little more enjoyable. Take the Carpool Deville as an example. Nobody (well, almost nobody) is asking for a hot tub fashioned from a 1969 Cadillac that is still drivable. But now that you know that such a beast exists, don't try to tell us you aren't at least intrigued.
The team behind the six-year-long project has a pretty ingenious setup worked out. The Caddy's original 472-cubic-inch (7.7-liter) V8 both provides propulsion and heats the water. The interior is entirely replaced with a watertight, fiberglass tub that includes working jets, and the controls are all done by hand.
As if just building a mobile hot tub isn't enough, the team behind the Carpool Deville plans to take it racing too. Specifically, they intend to go to the Bonneville Salt Flats later this year to make a top speed run while immersed in water at over 100 degrees. They even have a roll cage all set to install to meet the safety requirements there.
Cadillac XTS to become Opel flagship sedan?
Tue, 24 Jul 2012According to Auto-News.de, Opel is considering using Cadillac's all-new big sedan, the XTS, as the base for its new flagship car, which would likely carry the name Omega.
WorldCarFans.com speculates that Opel could use GM's 3.6-liter direct-injection V6 that generates 304 horsepower or, possibly, a 2.8-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine that creates 321 horsepower to power the vehicle. The European automaker could even use a 195-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine in this application - fine, since many of Europe's largest sedans are powered by smaller, more efficient engines.
Regardless of power, the Omega could arrive at dealerships by the end of 2013.
