Let me start out telling you a little about my background. I have been buying and selling unique sports and luxury cars for 37 years now and still love what I do. When I find a rare car that is in this kind of shape I don't let anyone touch it except for me. I personally detail it, tinker with it and look at it from top to bottom. I knew in the first couple of minutes I had come across one of the nicest used Allantes I had ever looked at. It was like cleaning up a masterpiece and made me feel like I did when I first started in the business. The car was purchased new in New York state and soon moved to Naples,Florida where it has spent most of its life. The clean Autocheck I pulled up on it reflex this info. I included pictures of the underneath of the car. I included pictures of any minor flaws I could find and I have went through the car mechanically and it is sound. No oil leaks, tires are above average, A/C is ice cold and the engine oil could be poured back into a bottle and sold as new. The top is in perfect condition and it has had a new pull down motor installed by the Allante Source in West Palm Beach Florida this week. This car was a local trade in where we purchased it. I have put 400 miles on it myself and it runs and drives excellent. Cadillac prices 410-hp XTS Vsport from $63,020*
Mon, 24 Jun 2013Cadillac has officially released pricing for the 2014 XTS Vsport. Buyers can expect to pay $63,020 for the fleet four-door, including destination and handling fees. That kind of coin will snag you a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 good for 410 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. As you likely already know, engineers have done a lot more than simply bolt a pair of turbos onto the company's tried and true naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6. The engine uses an all-new block, strengthened connecting rods and domed aluminum pistons and is fed through a revised direct-injection fuel system. Combined, the tweaks allow the V6 to suck down 12 psi of boost.
The price tag puts the 2014 Cadillac XTS Vsport well under potential (if ambitious) competitors like the Audi S6 at $71,900, plus destination fees. A base BMW 550i will set you back $62,700, excluding destination charges, but throwing options at the German sedan will quickly see that number climb higher. GM to build $1.3 billion Cadillac plant in China
Wed, 08 May 2013General Motors has gotten approval to build a $1.3 billion manufacturing facility for its Cadillac brand in China. China's National Development and Reform Commission signed off on plans for GM to build the plant in the country's Shanghai's Jinqiao zone; construction is expected to begin in June of this year. According to a Bloomberg report, the plant will have an annual production capacity of 150,000 units.
No surprise here, but Cadillac would like to sell a lot more cars in the plush Chinese luxury market. The brand moved only 30,010 cars in China last year, compared with 400k for Audi, and about 330k for BMW. With Cadillac already telling us that it would be moving production of its XTS sedan to China - a production decision that saves having to pay 25-percent import tariffs - approval of the factory is a critical win for the company.
In fact, according to earlier comments by GM China president Bob Socia, it's at least conceivable that Chinese-built Cadillacs could be shipped back to the US for sale. The brave new world of globalization, getting stranger by the minute.
