1972 Buick Gs 350 Orange, White Vinyl Top, Tilt Wheel, Power Seat, Cruise, Air on 2040-cars
Louisiana, Missouri, United States
I bought this from the original owners. They sold because the car sat for a while on their garage and they lost interest in it. They always took very good care of the car and it shows. The car was repainted about 15 years ago and has some spots that bubbled up over time. But overall the paint is fairy decent. The vinyl top is cracked underneath the back window and a little by the trim but other than that it looks okay. The trunk is the only part of the car that I have seen that is rusted out. As all other cars this body style. It is a very common place. The car runs and drives great. I drive it on the weekends. The interior is decent. The front and back seats have a few tears. But it still looks great. The arm rests on the door panels need to be replaced. But it is in great shape for a 40+ year old car with 111000 miles. This car is very original and has never been taken apart. It is a true survivor that has been taken care of very well. Ther radio is the only thing missing. It was gone when I bought the car. There is an original spare wheel but the tire is not original. The original jack is in the trunk still and it is in good shape. Also the headliner in the back by the window is held up by pins. It was like that when I bought it. The grill is broken and the the bumper is bent up a little bit on the drivers side. The left taillight lens is cracked too. This is a great car for someone looking to have something to put a little bit of work into. This car is in great shape and it looks very good for a mostly original car. It is a great car for someone looking for a little project. Thank you!

NHTSA may greatly expand GM airbag recall
Wed, 05 Jun 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is pondering whether to dramatically upscale a pair of airbag recalls on General Motors vehicles. The two existing campaigns, one launched in the fall of 2012 and the other in January of this year covered just 6,845 vehicles, but the government agency is considering whether to boost the recall to around 400,000 units.
The existing recalls involve the the closely related 2012 Buick Verano (shown) and Chevrolet Cruze sedans, along with Sonic and Camaro models. The root of the problem is a shorting bar in the inflator module of the steering-wheel-mounted airbag that may contact the primary state airbag terminal, a condition that could prevent deployment in an accident. Dealer technicians have been replacing the steering wheel airbag coils to fix the issue.
According to a post on NHTSA's website, the root cause, said to be a production issue, may not have been completely isolated - particularly for the second recall, which was for the Camaro. According to Automotive News, GM says it is cooperating with the government investigation, but won't say whether or not it knows the true origin of the problem.
2014 Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse recalled over brake mix-up
Thu, 08 May 2014The recall madness over at General Motors isn't letting up anytime soon, as evidenced by this latest call-back of 8,208 Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse sedans. For those keeping track, this is the fifth recall that GM has announced in the past two weeks, not to mention the massive ignition-switch issue from earlier this year.
GM issued a statement saying these sedans are being recalled due to "possible reduced braking performance," according to Automotive News. The problem? Rear brake rotors may have accidentally been installed in the front brake assembly. And since both cars use more robust braking systems up front than out back, braking power could be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.
Automotive News reports that, of the over 8,000 cars being recalled, about 1,700 are currently in the hands of customers, while the others are still in dealer inventory. GM is unaware of any crashes or injuries related to this problem. All of the affected vehicles are from the 2014 model year.
