Mileage: 64,580
Trim: 2 door hard top
Up for sale a great 1966 Riviera! Numbers matching, factory AC car, all original, console/floor shift, and has the rare cornering lights up front. Runs and drives good!
Car is 99% complete, missing only the RIVIERA letters on the front of the hood and the plastic radiator shroud is missing. All trim is on the car, and trim is in great shape. Original white interior, with only drivers side top corner of the seat worn thru it.
Original head liner in in good shape, has one seam that needs to be re-stitched. Headliner is original and not ripped anywhere. Carpet is in good shape, as are the door panels, etc. car was painted a long time ago a red-brown, over the original RARE plum purple factory color. Steering wheel back has shrinkage cracks in it, and turn signal switch inside column is loose. Turn signal switch and stalk, etc are all there, but the switch inside is either loose or broken. Turn signals dont work because of this.
Car was an original rare factory plum color (purple) and original color can still be seen in the trunk. Interior is all original factory white and in great shape except for top corner of drivers side seat, it is worn thru there. Easy fix for upholstery shop!. Car runs and drives good, could use a tune up as she is cold blooded. But once she warms up she runs fine. Doesn't leak any oil either that I can see. New dual exhaust put on car last year. Brakes work great, headlights and headlight motor work great, no issues car.
Only rust is surface rust here and there, and one rust hole thru about the size of a half dollar, behind the passenger rear wheel. NO rust in the rocker panels, door bottoms, other quarters, etc.! Some very small rust at the corner of the dash, very minor. Only rust thru hole is the one behind the passenger wheel, and it is very small hole. Easy fix with tiny patch. Some rust just below the key on the truck also, easy fix too. For a 1966 this body is in great shape. Normal dents/dings for this age of car. One dent at the very corner of the rear of the car, can be easily pulled out and one dent in front of the passenger rear wheel, easy to pull out, did not even break the paint.
Last year of the Nailhead big block!
Motor is all original big block 425 cu. in.with 340HP stock and 465ft lbs of TORQUE!
1966 was the last year for the highly collectible Nailhead motor, so this is a last year car!!
Motor has NEVER been out of the car, and has never been rebuilt! Same for the stock tranny! Car is UNMOLESTED!! Try finding a 1966 Riviera that has not been touched and modified....this is that car!!
Numbers all match, all factory tags present, clear KS title in my name. 3 owner car. One owner bought new, then sold car in 1973, then I bought it a few months ago from 1973 owner.
Can send additional pics. Car is located in Olathe, KS. Only reason I am selling it is that I want a four door early 1960's Lincoln so I can take my whole family for a ride. 1962 preferred.
These 66's are getting harder to find, especially in rare plum color, #s matching, AC, console shift, and cornering lights.
Or TRADE for 1960's Lincoln Continental 4 door or Convertible. Prefer 1962-63 but will consider other years.
Feel free to call with any questions, etc.

Buick Adam a reality after all... but only in China
Mon, 03 Mar 2014General Motors may have parred down its brand portfolio, but it still has more under its umbrella than most. That's why, while a company like Ford might market the same vehicle under its own name in markets around the world, GM uses different brands in different markets. But no two are aligned quite as closely as Opel in Europe and Buick in the United States and China.
What we know here as the Buick Regal is sold overseas as the Opel Insignia. Our Encore is their Mokka. Verano? Astra sedan. But one thing we don't get here is the Opel Adam. The diminutive city car is GM's take on the Mini Cooper, Fiat 500, Citroën DS3 et al. Launched at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the Opel Adam is named after the company's founder (like an ironic thumbing of the nose to the Ferrari Enzo). But while it's sold, like most Opels, in the UK as a Vauxhall, the prospect of it porting over to Buick seems slim to none. Right?
Sorta. While the Adam isn't likely to come Stateside, the latest reports (as yet unconfirmed by GM) suggest that The General is planning to sell the Adam in China where the Buick brand is also a strong seller. Local production could ensue, with prices targeting the Fiat 500 and engines - according to CarNewsChina.com - to include inline-fours displacing 1.2 and 1.4 liters with 69 and 100 horsepower, respectively.
Next Buick Regal to inherit styling cues from Opel Monza concept
Mon, 06 Oct 2014Ever look at a concept car from a foreign auto marque like Opel and wonder what relevance it will have to you as an American consumer? Well, we'll tell you: at least as far as the Opel Monza concept goes, it could mean a lot.
Speaking with Automotive News at the Paris Motor Show, Opel chief Karl-Thomas Neumann said, "You will see the Monza when you see the next Insignia." And the Insignia, we needn't point out, is essentially ported over to American showrooms as the Buick Regal.
The relationship between the Regal and Insignia only stands to grow closer as Opel design chief Mark Adams has also been charged with tightening the bonds between the two automakers positioned on opposite shores of the Atlantic. Adams also intends to imbue the next Insignia with more "premium brand values" in order to "add polish to the brand." Which in turn means that the Regal will be designed to look more upscale, too.
Buick might be getting a logo makeover
Fri, 23 Nov 2012General Motors has finished off an extensive model overhaul for its Buick division, but along with its updated cars, the brand might also be getting a new logo. According to the Detroit Free Press, GM North America President Mark Reuss indicated that the Buick tri-shield logo could be getting a makeover, but offered no further information.
It is unlikely Buick will completely redesign or replace its current logo, but the article seems to indicate that it might return to color; although all chrome now, the logo used to feature red, white and blue shields. Head on over to the Detroit Free Press article to look at some past Buick logos including one from 1904.
