BMW 740il M-Sport, silver with gray interior, automatic with 127k mostly
freeway miles, two adult owners, purchased twice at Classic BMW, garage
kept, non-smoker, records, manuals, original Classic BMW new car window
sticker, BMW build sheet. This 740il has lower than average miles,
never been in an accident; it has all of its original factory metallic
silver paint with no visible door dings, dents or scratches and the
paint maintains a very reflective finish. The glass, rubber, dash,
seats, wood trim, plastic parts, gray leather, carpet, head liner are in
near perfect shape and the interior smells like new.

BMW X4 M probably not in the cards
Thu, 26 Sep 2013BMW is preparing to exploit its latest market niche - those that find themselves unable to choose between the 3 Series, 4 Series and X3 - with the X4. If you're looking for an M product, though, you'll remain limited to the 3 and 4 Series. BMW's Bernhard Ederer, at the Australian launch of the X5, told Car Advice he wouldn't "bet on it," when asked about a hotter X4.
Oddly, Ederer's reasoning, according to the Aussies, is out of concern for the X6 M, whose sales the X4 M would apparently cannibalize. That's like saying the M3 doesn't make sense because it will cannibalize M5 sales - the logic just doesn't really hold up. "The question is what customers are we talking to? And are we talking to someone that is willing and able to afford [an X6 M]?" Ederer told Car Advice.
Car Advice seems to feel the same way, claiming the X3-based X4 will share its powertrains with its donor platform, and will eventually spawn an M variant, albeit a few years down the line.
There's no substitution for BMW's E30 Mmmmm3

There's a chance you wouldn't be surprised once you found out the coupe in question was the E30 M3, a car our own Zach Bowman dubbed the "Mmmmm3."

BMW i3 misses top Euro safety rating [w/videos]
Wed, 27 Nov 2013The Euro NCAP just tested a recent batch of new cars including the 2014 BMW i3, and the EV Bimmer scored less-than-perfect results. Though not horrible, BMW's all-electric/range-extended i3 was given a four-star (out of five possible) crash rating due to concerns with front-occupant whiplash and side-impact protection.
Based on the crash results, the BMW provided suitable protection for occupants in the frontal, side barrier, pedestrian and child-seat tests, but the i3 was tripped up when it came to the more severe side pole test and the rear-impact test. The pole test showed protection to the chest of the test dummy was "weak," and the front seats only provided "marginal" protection against whiplash for front passengers.
