Hello Ebay.  For Sale is My 1995 BMW 5 Series.

It is the powerful V8 M62 motor that is found in the 7 Series.

Please read my description carefully as I will try my best to describe the vehicle the best that I can both cosmetically and mechanically.

I saw this car for sale a year ago and completely fell in love with it.  The previous owner really took care of the car and had receipts totaling around $15k in recent repairs. Repairs including a rebuilt transmission, timing chain and guide rails, radiator, hoses, complete AC overhaul and suspension work.  At the time, KBB had the car valued @ a little over $6k with all of the options and in excellent condition.   I paid a little over $4k for the car and thought it was a good deal, and it was.  Since then I only had to change the battery and I put brand new Michelin Pilot tires that ride alot better than the Continental tires that were on there before.

Recently I noticed a coolant leak, I took it to the BMW dealer and the diagnosis was that the car needed a water pump replacement.  We all know the prices the dealers charge for these jobs and having saw a V8 E34 wagon for sale locally that I also fell in love with, I have decided that instead of investing $$ into this sedan, I would just put her up for sale.  I left the dealership, they topped her up with fluids and recommended that I do not drive her much because soon the water pump failure will cause it to start overheating as the coolant is not circulating the system.

I took heed, parked her up and bought the E34 wagon that has become my daily driver now.  I am willing to listen to offers from serious buyers and welcome anyone local to come see her, she starts right up and drives, however I would recommend doing the necessary repairs before taking her on a long Trip.

As you can see from the pictures, the interior is quite nice, compared to many others that I have seen in the area, don't think anyone has ever sat in the passenger or back seats, all windows and electricals work and the AC is Ice cold as summer is fast approaching.  Windows have legal tint on them and Tires are brand new Michelin Pilots.  It has a valid NJ 2014 sticker and no warning messages on the display screen.  The "check engine" light has been on since I bought her a year ago but has not affected driving.  Everything is stock down to the radio and it has the original BMW 6 disc changer in the trunk along with an original spare with the original Continental tire on it.

It is an amazing color, looks very nice but does have its share of blemishes.  It has the surface rust on the bottom of the two front doors, but barely noticeable.  Also the passenger side rear quarter had a spot near the wheel well (size of a half dollar)that is starting to bubble (see pic).  The back bumper is faded a bit and the car has a few chips here and there but no dents or big bruises that take away from the beauty of the car.

My phone # is 973 280 5699 and you can call me to discuss/view the car.  I am not really good with pictures but I tried my best, don't have a camera so I used my phone so if there are any specific pictures that you would like to see, please do ask and I will try to accommodate.

Please do not be shy with your offers.  I have already bought my wagon and would like to let the sedan go to a good home as parking in my area is a bit difficult.  Thank you for looking and good luck with your offers!

BMW pondering hardcore M4 to celebrate 100 years?

Thu, 03 Oct 2013

2013 is the year for Lamborghini, Aston Martin and the Porsche 911, but 2016 will be the year for BMW. That's when the Munich-based maker of the Ultimate Driving Machine will celebrate its 100th birthday, with what will probably be a year-long celebration. Part of that 365-day party will, reportedly, be an even hotter version of the new BMW M4, which is set to debut in January at the Detroit Auto Show.
Yes, according to Australia's Car Sales, the über-M4 has been hinted at by higher-ups at BMW's M division, who claim the rear seats will be removed, much like the M3 GTS, while other weight-saving measures will be used to try and bring the M4's weight below 3,000 pounds. There's no mention of engine mods, but if the M4's biturbocharged six is as good as we think it'll be, that's not a deal-breaker for us.
The lightening process on the so-called M4 GTS would involve replacing the hood and front fenders with parts made of carbon fiber, while the doors would switch from steel to aluminum. Besides the deletion of the rear seats, Car Sales is predicting lightweight racing buckets, with a carbon-fiber shell and a minimal amount of padding. Expect lots and lots of Alcantara, in place of leather.

Totally uncovered BMW M3 caught by helmet cam

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

Sure, we've seen - and even ridden in - the 2015 BMW M3 before, but always under the cover of camouflage. Proving that it's always nice to be in the right place at the right time, a motorcyclist managed to capture a completely undisguised 2015 M3 (codenamed F80) on video during a closed-road photo shoot.
Road & Track has the helmet cam video, which shows the bright blue M3 doing a three-point turn as it follows a camera car possibly for an upcoming commercial or launch video. While the images are grainy, we do get to see some of the styling details for the next-gen M3. Aside from the extra set of doors, this M3 looks a lot like the Concept M4 Coupe we met a few months ago, including the bulging hood, oddly shaped door mirrors and the wide, vented front fenders. The aggressive fascia, big wheels/low-profile tires and quad exhaust outlets all but confirm this is the production M3 we'll be seeing at the Detroit Auto Show in a couple of months.
We've put together a gallery using screen shots from the video, but check out the video posted below to see the new M3 in motion.

EVO takes flight in BMW's sultry i8

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

Electric cars and hybrids are here to stay, much to the apparent dismay of some auto enthusiasts, but that doesn't mean they have to represent the death of enjoyable driving. Granted, the initial run of hybrids in the US like the Honda Insight and Toyota Prius weren't exactly tailor-made for aggressive folks behind the wheel, but things are clearly changing. In its latest video, Evo takes a look at three examples from Europe's new crop of electrified vehicles to show that the future of fun motoring is safe and sound.
Evo editor Henry Catchpole kicks things off with one of the most bizarre EVs of the bunch, the tiny Renault Twizy. Its low power and 50-mile-per-hour top speed might make it miles away from a hot hatch, but there's still fun to be had in extracting the most from this little city car. Next up is the Audi A3 E-Tron, which isn't technically available yet. It's a step in the right direction of eventually creating an affordable, fun-to-drive hybrid hot hatch.
However, the main event is Catchpole getting some seat time in the BMW i8. The Bimmer can really fly -literally in this case - and the butterfly-door coupe offers a clear look at the prospects for electrified sports cars. It might not have the power of hybrid supercar contemporaries like the LaFerrari or Porsche 918 Spyder, but the BMW doesn't cost nearly as much, either. See? Improved efficiency doesn't have to mean boring.
