I am offering this with no reserve.  I am advertising this vehicle for sale locally so I may end this auction early.  You are welcome to call or text me @ 208-206-eighteen 42. My name is Bob.

Payment: at close of auction, winner will be required to pay $1000 deposit to PayPal.  Balance will be accepted by personal check, cashiers check (checks must clear bank before I will release vehicle), or cash in person. .

I am in Nampa Idaho which is just outside of Boise.  The winner of the auction is welcome to pick up the car in person or have it shipped.  Or if you wanted to fly in and drive home, I will be glad to pick you up from the Boise airport.  Of course, the shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.  I will kindly accommodate shipping arrangements to the best of my ability. Thanks for looking and thanks for bidding.

Note on Vehicle History Report.  Looks like for some reason there is a discrepancy with the national records database on the odometer readings.  Not really sure what is going on with this or where this erroneous info came from but I have the Idaho Title here in my hands dated 12/23/2013 and it shows odometer reading "87100 Actual".   The line on the Vehicle History Report that shows 62500 is obviously an error.  I assure you that the mileage is accurate and true @ 89385 (or very close to that based on any driving in the last couple of days).  As an additional assurance, the VIN of this car could be looked up in the BMW database at any BMW dealership and the complete history will be shown with all maintenances and repairs and the associated dates and mileage readings.   The original purchaser of this car also purchased a comprehensive BMW Factory sponsored extended warranty and full maintenance plan.  Up until 8 weeks ago this car was covered completely - 100% - everything except fuel & tires - for 100,000 miles or 2/28/2014.  EVERYTHING was covered - oil changes, brakes, paint, windshield wiper blades...the works.  Anytime this car needed anything it went straight to the dealer and got sorted out because it was fully paid for under the plan.   No do-it-yourselfers or Jiffy Lube for this car.  Therefore every time the car was in for service the mileage was noted and recorded in the BMW database.  This can easily be verified if need be.   I assure you that all the readings are consistent and inline with what would be expected.   Any questions?  Please call me.  Thanks, Bob.

2015 BMW M3 squares off against Alpina D3 in gas vs. diesel throwdown

Sat, 26 Jul 2014

There was a time when diesel meant one of two things: This vehicle's owner either wants to save some money at the pump or needs to haul massive loads. It definitely did not mean that the owner of said machine wanted to drive fast, but that perception has slowly but surely been changing over the last several years, with automakers from Volkswagen and Ford to Audi and BMW offering spiced-up versions of their high-compression, turbocharged diesels.
It's that last automaker we mentioned that's the subject of the video you'll see down below. One bright-blue BMW M3 was procured by the Brits at Autocar, and it was lined up against a deep-black Alpina D3 (which we sadly can't buy in the US) in a spate of tests, including acceleration, stopping, sound and lap times on a closed circuit. The results, which we won't spoil for you, were enlightening, and were followed up by personal impressions from the man behind the wheel.
We know you're curious. All it takes to find out which of these 3.0-liter, twin-turbo-powered 3 Series variants came out on top is to scroll down below and watch. You know what to do.

BMW M3 and M4 CSL not in the cards

Mon, 27 Jan 2014

We aren't sure whether to file this one under "good news" or "bad news." BMW confirmed to Top Gear that there "are no plans" for lightweight versions of the new M3 and M4, in the same vein as the E46 M3 CSL (despite rumors to the contrary). The reason?
"There wasn't a CSL on the previous generation, and the way we look at it is like this: the CSL was great because it had this real focus on lightweight engineering. But we've already done that with these new cars. We've made them as light as possible - they come in under 1500 kilograms (3,306 pounds), which for a car like this is incredible," said Matt Collins, BMW's product manager for small to medium cars.
Now, as much as we love the idea of a hardcore version of any car, we appreciate BMW's point of view that the newest Ms are already as light and tough as they need to be. Collins elaborated, saying, "Rather than doing a halfway house to begin with and then rolling out a CSL, we thought we'd make the 'real' car as light as we possibly could. So we've no plans whatsoever to make a lighter, harder version just yet."

BMW says SUVs killed the sports car market

Thu, 13 Nov 2014

In many ways, we're living in a golden age of automotive performance. After all, it's possible to show up at a Dodge dealer, hand over about $60,000 and storm away with a 707-horsepower Challenger Hellcat. Or for those who prefer a touch more luxury, the BMW M4, Mercedes-AMG C63 and latest Cadillac ATS-V offer between 425 and 503 horsepower, depending on your pick, with a bit more poshness. However, none of these powerful vehicles fit the classic definition of a two-place, droptop sports car, and according BMW head of sales Ian Robertson, that's because the segment is very much in the doldrums.
According to Robertson, two factors seriously wounded the classic sports car market. First, the global economic crisis of a few years ago put a serious hurt on sales, according to Bloomberg. Further worsening the situation, the boom in popularity of luxury SUVs and crossovers in the past few years hasn't allowed for much recovery. Even car-hungry China hasn't helped much because of the smog in many cities and preference among some of the very rich there to be chauffeured.
Combined, Audi TT, BMW Z4 and Mercedes-Benz SLK sales peaked around 114,000 units a year in 2007, but they are only expected to reach 72,000 annually by the end of the decade. Robertson is pretty pessimistic about the market's comeback too. "Post-2008, it just collapsed. I'm not so sure it'll ever fully recover," he said to Bloomberg.
