2002 Bmw 325i Black Gray Sport Package Clean Title Xenon Lights Michelin Tires on 2040-cars
Irvine, California, United States
Clean Title. 2nd Owner. Adult driven. Professionally maintained. BMW 325i with factory BMW sport package.
This is a well-cared for BMW sport sedan that will provide you with exceptional value. Selling this car because I have a new BMW and don't need the spare car anymore. The previous owner purchased a newer Audi, which is why they were willing to sell this car. Going around the car, you will find slight blemishes in the paint consistent with a 12-year old car. Overall, the paint is in very good condition. The interior leather has been treated with Lexol leather conditioner, however it does show signs of age. The rear 325i emblem is missing (it wasn't there when I bought the car). I thought it was nice because it attracts less attention. The car drives with a lot of pep, accelerates smoothly, and would make an excellent first car for a new driver or replacement car for someone looking for a newer BMW at a great value. This is your diamond in the rough. The car does need a new front right window regulator motor and regulator (this is the thing that makes the window go up and down). That is the only repair that needs to be done on the car. I purchased this car for the following reasons: * BMW sport package - sportier suspension (lower springs), 17" wheels, 3-spoke sport steering wheel, front driver seats with pull out thigh bolsters (like on the M3) * aluminum dash trim (rare) * xenon (HID) headlights * BMWs look awesome in black * excellent gas mileage: 28 mpg highway fuel economy Car has recently had the following maintenance performed: * Mobil 1 synthetic oil change. * Valve cover gasket replaced. * Oil housing gasket replaced. * OEM NGK spark plugs replaced. * New sport shock absorbers. ($400 value) * New front lower control arms. ($200 value) * New front lower control arm bushings. ($200 value) * New front tie rods and sway bar endlinks ($100 value) * New tires (Michelin Pilot Super Sport) ($800 value) * New rear passenger window regulator ($150 value) * Four wheel alignment ($150 value) * New engine air filter (K&N) * New cabin air filter (charcoal) * New front windshield frameless wiper blades ($25 value) * Interior leather cleaned and treated with Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner |

She's just a girl... who's an E28 fanatic
Tue, 02 Apr 2013Ashley Rodriguez has a thing for the BMW E28. The amateur train photographer has owned over 15 of the cars in her brief lifetime, and says she's attracted to the old 5 Series because of how rare they are. All told, she's owned every variation of the E28 with the exception of the 2.4td, and the crew from Petrolicious recently stopped by to train their lenses on her most recent acquisition: a lovely M535i. The site's latest video, Rare Things, takes a closer look at just what draws Rodriguez to the E28 and how her passion for the cars has evolved over the years.
As usual, Petrolicious serves up plenty of gorgeous footage of the vintage German sedan, and anyone who's ever harbored an obsession over any one particular model can certainly hear a few chords ring true in Rodriguez's words. Check out the clip below to see what we mean.
BMW i3 misses top Euro safety rating [w/videos]
Wed, 27 Nov 2013The Euro NCAP just tested a recent batch of new cars including the 2014 BMW i3, and the EV Bimmer scored less-than-perfect results. Though not horrible, BMW's all-electric/range-extended i3 was given a four-star (out of five possible) crash rating due to concerns with front-occupant whiplash and side-impact protection.
Based on the crash results, the BMW provided suitable protection for occupants in the frontal, side barrier, pedestrian and child-seat tests, but the i3 was tripped up when it came to the more severe side pole test and the rear-impact test. The pole test showed protection to the chest of the test dummy was "weak," and the front seats only provided "marginal" protection against whiplash for front passengers. Scroll down to watch two videos released by the Euro NCAP of the i3 being tested.
