Here is an incredibly nice 1998 BMW 323ic Convertible with a 5 speed transmission. I have driven this car for the last two weeks personally and enjoyed every single second of it. She has 141k miles and drives like a dream. The only light on is the brake pad indicator but the breaks feel fine to me. The engine runs great and has a surprising amount of power when you ask for it. The clutch feels great and every gear feels good and shifts great. The air is absolutely ice cold in her and I have actually had to turn it down a bit even on the days when it was 100 degrees outside. The power tops appears to have a newer canvas top that is in very good condition with only one or two small areas of wear & works exactly as it should. Also we have had a lot of rain here lately and have not seen a drip inside so I do not believe there are any leaks on the top. The power windows all work except for the driver window as I believe it requires a new motor. The interior is very clean for a car of this age and is in good condition. The leather is in very nice condition with no major signs of wear or tears. There are a 3 pieces of trim that will need replaced two are plastic speaker surrounds and an airbag emblem is missing all can be had on eBay for around $25.00. The black paint is in good condition as well with only a few minor rock chips but nothing major. There are no signs of clear coat damage anywhere. The body is very straight and there are no signs of rust anywhere. There are a few minor dings that I believe a paintless dent profession could easily remove.  One is on the passenger door near the handle and the other two on the rear deck lid. If you have any question please don’t hesitate to call or text me at 843-617-8077 but please remember that I am on the east coast and there is a time difference depending where you are calling from. I own a small car lot in South Carolina and have sold a few of these convertible 3 series and this is by far the best running nicest one I have come across in the last few years.

Drifting can be dangerous for spectators, too

Fri, 02 May 2014

Okay kids, here's your lesson for the day. When you go to a motorsports event (that isn't a rally), there are these things called walls. They're big and hard. There might be stacks of tires in front of them. There are also these things called barriers, catch fences and run-off areas. They exist to protect you, the spectator, when something inevitably goes wrong on the track.
If you don't have these things, you probably shouldn't be watching whatever four-wheeled mayhem is taking place. This gentleman learned that the hard way, after getting a bit too close while some hoon drifts his BMW 3 Series.
Scroll down for the video, and be warned, while there isn't any blood that we can see, some viewers might find the sight of a human getting punted by a BMW disturbing.

MW's new Driftmob video shows the M235i like you've never seen it before

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

Last month, we went behind the scenes of the filming of BMW's new Driftmob, web video, bringing you one post from the practice sessions, and another from the shoot itself, which took place in an enormous traffic circle in Cape Town, South Africa. Today, BMW has launched the final version of Driftmob, and it's pretty damn cool.
The plot is pretty simple: just like a flashmob, in which people invade a location and perform choreographed dances to music, much to the delight of surprised onlookers, the "driftmob" features a quintet of red M235i coupes that take over a traffic circle and perform choreographed dances - sideways - to the delight of onlookers. The only differences are that, in this case, the onlookers are mostly paid extras (though there were many unwitting passersby that joined the crowd at times) and the only music is a constant squealing of tires-a sweet song if we ever heard one. Then, after about two minutes of tire-smoking shenanigans, the coupes vanish.
As promised, we will have a more detailed, behind the scenes story about the filming of the video, including insights from Rhys Millen, Samuel Hübinette, Dai Yoshihara, Rich Rutherford, and Conrad Grunewald, the five guys who executed these remarkable stunts. Meanwhile, we hope you enjoy the short flick.

2015 BMW Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe priced from $118,225* [w/poll]

Wed, 05 Mar 2014

If you're in the market for a high-performance BMW and you live in Europe, you've typically had two range of options at your disposal: you could go for one of BMW's own M models, or turn to Alpina. Though technically independent of BMW, Alpina is about as close to the manufacturer as a tuner can get, and many of its models are offered through BMW's own dealer network.
That's overseas, but in the North American market, BMW has typically taken a different approach, offering just one Alpina model - the B7 - to fill in for a lack of M7 performance sedan. That all changes, however, with the debut of the BMW Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe.
Slotting in alongside the M6 Gran Coupe, the Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe is marginally more expensive and slightly less powerful, but makes up for those relative (and negligible) shortcomings in spades. Both are based on the 6 Series Gran Coupe and both pack a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8, but with key differences. Where the M6 produces 560 horsepower, the Alpina offers 'only' 540. But where the M6 channels 500 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the Alpina drives 540 lb-ft to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic.
