You might find in the CarFax report that this car has had to owners, but that's not quite right. Around 7 years ago when my son was starting to drive, I decided to give him this car and I transferred the title to his name, around three months later I took the car back and bought him a new one, he had ideas of replacing BMW parts with after market parts, so the car is still on his name but I have the title and the Car. I drove this car out of the Dealer in 1996 and it still takes me to work today. I keep records of every thing done to the car through the years. I service this car myself, oil has been changed always around 3000 miles. It has 4 three months old Falken tires, 2 month old A/C Compressor. I take this car to work every day. It's hard for me to sell this car, love driving it. As a negative note, about a month ago I scraped the right side of the car on the highway trying to avoid a flying suitcase, before that on 2010 the left door, left mirror an rear quarter panels were damaged while the car was parked, no major damage, all parts were fixed in a very reputable Body shop. I still keep the original Driving wheel, Stereo and also I'm including 4 oil filters I had already purchased. My recommendations are: This car is ready for a paint job, except the side that was fixed by the body shop the paint on this car is original and is in need to be replaced and when you do that take care of a little body work on the right side to fix those scratches.
The Rims have been installed for many years and have lost some of the shine, but they ride perfect.
The instrument cluster has been showing the ABS light for a few years, took it to the Dealer, they said it needed some valve for the antilock system engage in case needed, I did not see the a very high reason to spend the money, the breaks go fine and in 16 years have never let me down. It's also showing the air bag light, that's due to the fact that the original Wheel was removed for a momo wheel. You'll need to buy a couple of Fog lights, that's one of the things my son replaced and I took them off recently. The radio and speakers work great, (have replace the rear ones like three times), so do the power windows. The Rug is the original one.
As of today the car has 200 556 miles and counting….I believe the Engine can go another 200 000 if taken care off properly. As a note I must say I have never used Synthetic oil, just good quality conventional oil.

History of BMW touring cars looks splendid in Adrenalin trailer

When thinking about racing, we generally focus on moving forward to go a little faster or shave a tenth of a second off a lap. There's not much time to look backward. It's too bad, because there are so many fantastic stories from the sport's history. Thankfully, an upcoming doc is taking on the challenge of telling some of these tales, and it looks like a movie not to miss, especially for BMW fans.
Adrenalin - The BMW Touring Car Story mixes high-quality, vintage footage with new interviews from many of the drivers of these machines to craft what looks like a fantastic experience. Covering the period from the '60s to the modern DTM era, just the trailer shows racing from the 2002, 3.0 CSL and of course the E30 chassis M3 of the '80s. You also get to hear from legends behind the wheel like Hans-Joachim Stuck, Johnny Cecotto and Joachim Winkelhock telling their stories.
Adrenalin comes out in November on DVD, Blu-Ray and on-demand. Check out its trailer above for a taste at what it's aiming for. The documentary definitely looks like one to watch.
BMW X4 M probably not in the cards
Thu, 26 Sep 2013BMW is preparing to exploit its latest market niche - those that find themselves unable to choose between the 3 Series, 4 Series and X3 - with the X4. If you're looking for an M product, though, you'll remain limited to the 3 and 4 Series. BMW's Bernhard Ederer, at the Australian launch of the X5, told Car Advice he wouldn't "bet on it," when asked about a hotter X4.
Oddly, Ederer's reasoning, according to the Aussies, is out of concern for the X6 M, whose sales the X4 M would apparently cannibalize. That's like saying the M3 doesn't make sense because it will cannibalize M5 sales - the logic just doesn't really hold up. "The question is what customers are we talking to? And are we talking to someone that is willing and able to afford [an X6 M]?" Ederer told Car Advice.
Car Advice seems to feel the same way, claiming the X3-based X4 will share its powertrains with its donor platform, and will eventually spawn an M variant, albeit a few years down the line.

The real telling moment for the new BMW i division will be seeing how the recently tested 2014 i3 sells in its various markets, since that is the car that changes how we perceive our expectations of the brand. But this 2015 BMW i8 green supercar has all the earmarks of a slam-dunk project, we just needed to drive it and make sure for ourselves.
BMW has a spectacular test facility in southern France, called Miramas, and that's where we just had our first brief go behind the wheel of the i8. There were three cars for us there and they were dressed up in exactly the same paisley camo that we've all seen in the spy photos published everywhere for the past year. The interiors, though swathed in masking to hide all the details, varied in their color.
