Up for sale is my 1992 BMW 325i Convertible in Laguna Green Metallic with Nature Beige Leather interior and Tan soft-top. This car is very well equipped and has all power options, heated seats and 14" Basket-weave wheels. The car is one of the last E30 chassis BMWs made and has the updated plastic bumpers and super rare 5-speed manual transmission. Everything works in the car including the AC(ice cold) and factory BMW radio. The electric locks, windows, cruise control and all other options work as they should. The vehicle comes with fairly extensive records and has had a recent timing belt service, cooling service, suspension component refresh, clutch and shifter bushings, emergency brake service, AC service, brake service, new tires, and flawless respray to factory color to correct sun fading on the rear panels. This car drives like a brand new 1992 BMW, tight as drum with great engine response and handling. There aren't any quirks or issues with my car, it really does drive as amazing as it looks with NO leaks, smoke, harshness, vibrations, stutters or anything of the sort. This is a get in and go car, hands down the best I've owned in a very long time. The car starts every time and is the perfect daily driver.
The seats and convertible top have been redone a few years ago and look great. This car has been garaged from new and it's very obvious from looking at the clean dry condition. I have also garaged it during my ownership. There is no accident history, damage, or repairs to this car, ever. It has been fully maintained and requires nothing for many more miles to come. If you are looking for a long-term keeper, this is the one. Everyone says they would drive to California and back but I actually believe this car would easily do it. It was originally a California car and now resides in South Florida.
The only issues with the car this: 2 small door dings that have happend since having it resprayed(easily fixed with paintless repair), the convertible top is power and does work intermittently so I have disconnected it and use it manually though I did leave all of the components in place should someone wish to repair it(The small motor is fine, the large motor needs work and I have new motors for sale additionally should the new owner want them I will include them for a price.) Other than that there is nothing on the car of any issue.

If you are looking at this car then you know what a great find this is, my only reason for selling my 3 classic BMWs is because I have purchased a newer car and unfortunately can't keep so many. The car was not professionally detailed for these pictures, it really is this clean and the pictures don't do car justice.

KBB 2013 Brand Image Awards has some obvious and oddball winners
Sat, 30 Mar 2013The sixth edition of the Kelley Blue Book Brand Image Awards have crowned a wide range of winners - in a couple of cases the recipient of the laurels might say more about KBB users than they do about the actual winner. Compiled from the responses of more than 12,000 shoppers on KBB.com over the past year, there are 13 categories broken into non-luxury, luxury and truck segments "representing the combined wisdom of the American car-buying public."
The award categories have been revamped this year, with some dropping off, some new ones appearing and at least one other given a new term. What isn't surprising is that Honda won Most Trusted Brand for the second year running, Best Value Brand for the third year in a row and took Best Overall Brand, which wasn't on last year's list of awards.
On our own shores, in the non-luxury categories Chrysler got Most Refined Brand and Buick took Best Value Luxury Brand. Neither one of those marques won anything in last year's Brand Image Awards, while Cadillac, which won Best Interior Design Brand and Best Comfort Brand last year - those awards disappeared this year - went home without a single accolade.
BMW i3 EV continues to shed camouflage
Thu, 11 Apr 2013As BMW gets closer to introducing the production version of its plug-in i3, we keep seeing the hatchback being tested with lessening degrees of design-obscuring camouflage. Last we heard, BMW is expecting to have the i3 ready by the end of this year, and the swirly, blue camo does little to hide its basic design in these latest spy shots.
We get our first clear look at almost everything above the wavy beltline including the silver roof edges and matching mirror caps, and it can't hide the dip in the beltline behind the B-pillar - matching what we've already seen on the i3 Coupe Concept unveiled at the LA Auto Show last year. Another change we notice is the lower portion of camo removed from the front fascia allowing us to see the air opening and the black, vertical inserts leading up to the fog light bezels. Judging by the "Hybrid Test Vehicle" stickers on the side of this prototype, we can only assume that this is the optional range-extended model.
134K BMW 5 Series recalled for taillight issue
Fri, 20 Sep 2013BMW is voluntarily recalling 134,100 cars due to a faulty ground terminal in the taillight bulb carriers, causing the sudden failure of brake lights, turn signals and reverse lights. The recall covers 2008 through 2010 5 Series models produced between March 1, 2007 and December 31, 2009, and includes everything from the 528i to the mighty, V10-powered M5. It's unclear if this recall is limited to sedans or extends to the 5-Series Touring.
There have been no reported cases of injuries, fatalities or crashes associated with the taillight issue. BMW will be issuing recall notices to affected owners in the coming weeks, asking them to report to dealers so that the bulb carriers on the taillights can be replaced.
