Offered for sale is a beautiful and well maintained black-on-black Audi A4 Avant Quattro. It is powered by the economical yet powereful 1.8L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. The car itself is in excellent overall condition and has never been abused and has always been properly maintained. The photos reflect the true condition of the car. The body is exceptionally straight and only has very minor chips and light scratches that would be considered normal for a 10 year old car. It has been garaged since new and the paint still has a beatiful finish with a deep shine. The leather seating sufaces are in excellent condition, as are the dash, door panels and carpeting. Mechanically the Avant drives and performs like a new car. Oil changes have been performed on a regular basis and there are no leaks. The wheels were upgraded to a newer style, and the Goodyear tires have very litttle wear and look practically like new. The battery was replaced just two months ago with a high quality Bosch battery. 2015 Audi A3 Sportback E-Tron
Wed, 18 Dec 2013A little more than a year ago, I drove an Audi A3 E-Tron prototype - an early concept electric vehicle built on the outgoing second-generation A3 platform. While I was impressed with the technology, its 3,800-pound weight, 10-second 0-60 time and 90-mile range will likely put it only mid-pack, at best, among its future competitive set. But Audi promised bigger and better things would come.
I didn't have to wait long. Immediately following the Los Angeles Auto Show, Audi asked me come drive its all-new successor built on the company's third-generation A3 chassis. Compared to last year's model, the new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) boasts a lighter curb weight, quicker acceleration and six times the range. Calling it improved is an understatement. Best of all, it's heading to production.
Technically speaking, the 2015 Audi A3 Sportback E-Tron is a parallel hybrid, meaning its electric motor is sandwiched between a combustion engine and an automatic transmission - either, or both, is capable of powering the front wheels. The gasoline-powered engine is a direct-injected and turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder, rated at 150 horsepower. The transmission is a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox. A 75-kW electric motor sits between the two. Water is used to cool the gasoline engine, the electric motor and the battery pack - there are three independent closed loops.

Audi RS5 test drive ends with potential buyer stealing car
Thu, 24 Oct 2013Two men are wanted in the Houston area tonight after they stole an Audi RS5 from a local dealership. The brazen theft happened in the middle of the business day, when a salesperson stepped away after letting one of the men take the car for a test drive, while the other sat in the (getaway) car. He then swiped the keys and his license before running out to the lot and taking off in the 450-horsepower coupe.
The men drove to the dealership in an plate-less, white Range Rover Sport, and fed the salesperson a fake phone number - it ironically led to a collections firm - along with what is probably a fake name and a fake background, although the dealership does have both men on video. The dealer, Audi West Houston, is offering a $5,000 reward for any information that leads to the Audi and the crooks that stole it.
