This 1983 Spider Is Quite Restoreable And Is Complete With A Good Interior. on 2040-cars
Nevada City, California, United States
This very restoreable Alpha is in pretty good overall condition but with several serious problems. As shown above, the transmission has probable synchro problems since it will not go into second. It shows no other transmission operation problems. Also as shown, the engine will not run right now because of a wiring problem suspected to be in the console area. It ran well before the wiring problem developed about two years ago. The car will need a battery and some troubleshooting on this problem.
The car has nice wheels and the tires hold air and have some limited life left. The trunk lid latch cable system will need some work but this is viewed as a relatively minor problem. Because of the rust, the trunk lid is in poor condition along the back edge and will probably be best replaced. The interior is in pretty good condition. There are no seat tears or stains and the door panels are intact and in good condition. Please study the photos and feel free to inquire on more details. |

Just 45% of Fiat dealers are profitable, and they're angry about it
Mon, 07 Oct 2013<
On average, Fiat dealers have only been selling about 17 cars a month.
We've been wondering for some time how Fiat dealers in North America have been getting along with just one model range in their showrooms up until recently. Franchisees spent millions building, stocking and manning sleek new 'studio' showrooms, only to have but a single model to sell, the cherubic 500. And even with its many derivatives, the Cinquecento is still an inexpensive model with its attendant lower margins. Perhaps it should come as no surprise then, that just 45 percent of US Fiat dealers are said to be profitable.
