2004 Volvo Xc90 T6 Wagon 4-door 2.9l on 2040-cars
Aurora, Colorado, United States
|
I am a college student with no need for a vehicle (RTD Pass is included in tuition) and am paying insurance on a vehicle I no longer drive.
I bought this Volvo XC90 when I got back from Afghanistan and needed a car. I paid $13,500 to purchase used from a reputable dealer, and have been current with upkeep and maintenance and have documentation of all work and repairs. This car has been great to get myself, my fiance and our dog to the mountains for camping several dozen times in the harshest of weather. I have really enjoyed having this car but at this point I don't need it as much as other things; namely cash and guns. *** I am not kidding when I say this car is great in the snow. This car is STUPID good in the snow. Obviously driver skill is a factor and I learned to drive in some gnarly New England winters, but this vehicle has been a breeze to get around town in even in the roughest conditions. And being a Volvo you know it'll last forever, these things just don't die. The facts: 2004 Volvo XC90 Mileage: 101XXX 4 door with hatchback/tailgate AWD Seats 7 people with folding 3rd row. Nice hot heater + HEATED SEATS Cold AC Aftermarket stereo (Kenwood) with AUX, CD, USB, etc Please feel free to contact me for more info on this car, or for any offers for trade + cash deals. Asking 8,999 OBO Feel free to look up my listings on Craigslist and Armslist as well. |

Volvo agrees to transfer tech to new parent Geely
Tue, 11 Dec 2012Following the acquisition of Volvo by China's Zhejiang Geely Holding Group in 2010, we definitely saw this news coming. The two companies have signed an agreement that will give Chinese automaker Geely access to key technologies developed by Volvo, and in turn, the deal could help the Swedish automaker lower its production costs.
As a part of the "technological cooperation agreements" signed by both companies, Automotive News China reports that Geely will be able to tap Volvo for three much-needed technologies, including the use of a midsize platform, Volvo's proven safety innovations and interior air quality systems. The latter two technologies are important to improve the crashworthiness of Geely's cars, along with helping isolate vehicle occupants from China's often severe air pollution. The report says that Volvo tech will likely be used on a premium car brand that Geely is expected to create.
Volvo, on the other hand, is to benefit from the "local market exploration experience and cost control experience" of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, which is technical way of saying that Volvo will be able reduce its costs by tapping into Geely's established supply chain.
Watch this Volvo truck drive up a quarry road using hamster-powered steering
Fri, 13 Sep 2013Volvo Trucks has been producing some of the most interesting and thrilling commercials around as of late, and this new one involves a live hamster. While you may wonder how could a hamster and a dump truck could be exciting, just know this ain't a Kia Soul commercial: the Swedish truck company enlists the help of a hamster named Charlie to steer an FMX construction truck up a winding road in Ourence, Spain. From the bottom of a quarry. We are not kidding you.
All we ask is that you watch the commercial below to see how it all goes down. If you like what you see, you can then check out a bonus 'behind the scenes' video and press release for details about how Volvo Trucks prepared for the stunt.
Volvo V60 Polestar speeds into view
Mon, 14 Oct 2013Send us photos of a new wagon out testing, and you've got our attention. Send us photos of a fast wagon lapping the Nürburgring and, well, we're just as giddy as can be. Our spy shooters just blessed our inbox with some fresh shots of Volvo's new V60 wagon out testing in Polestar guise, sporting the same Rebel Blue paint job as the thunder-from-Down-Under limited-edition S60 Polestar, as well as an aggressive front fascia, huge wheels, Brembo brakes, a rear diffuser panel and a roof spoiler. Hello there, hot stuff.
Like its sedan counterpart, the V60 Polestar is expected to use a boosted version of Volvo's 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine, pumping out something like 350 horsepower. To keep everything in check, that force will almost certainly be sent to the ground via all-wheel drive.
It's unclear if Volvo will sell the V60 Polestar as a limited-edition affair for our friends in Australia, or if this longroof hot-hauler will be offered in other markets this time. After all, Volvo is bringing the V60 over to American soil early next year, so consider our fingers - and toes - crossed.
