Our Volvo mechanic has said it is in excellent mechanical condition. At 75,300 miles we changed out the timing belt, water pump, all crank shaft seals. There are no leaks of any kind. We also replaced all four rotors new and brake pads. The tires are from Les Schwab and were new (90% tread now) at 80,500 miles. The Anti lock Break Module has been rebuilt and was also replaced when the timing belt was. Oil change 1500 miles ago. We also had the Air Conditioning recharged for the summer. The transmission is excellent; very smooth, flawless shifting. All of this can be verified by a mechanic and we have all records. It is rated highly on CarFax, which we have and will provide. Exterior is ave for a 2000 with some dulling of paint, mild clear coat peeling and usual dings/scratches. Interior is great. No tears in the leather w/some wear showing on front seats in the form of creases. Clean car. No rips or teats in carpet."

For sale is a 2000 Volvo V70 All Wheel Drive Special Edition 4D Wagon. It has all of the bells and whistles that Volvo has to offer, with heated leather seats, power everything, moonroof, roof rack and sooo much more.

This car only has 80,500 miles on it. Clean title. We are the third owner. New Tags, that expire May 2015. Our Volvo mechanic has said it is in excellent mechanical condition. When we bought it at 75,300 miles, we changed out the timing belt, water pump, all crank shaft seals. There are no leaks of any kind. We also replaced all four rotors new and brake pads. The tires are from Les Schwab and were new (99% tread) at 76,000 miles. The new tags and Oregon plates cost me $194 at the DMV and $19 at DEQ. You really are getting a great deal. I am hoping to get $8000, but reasonable offers will be considered. Please don't low-ball.

The interior is excellent for a 13 year old car. It is clean with no tears in the leather or rips in the carpet. This car has third row seating and built in booster seats.

The exterior is in ok condition. It has the usual small dents and dings, as any older car has. It has pant dulling and the clear coat is starting to peel in a couple of places. Not bad for a car of this year. The Kelley Blue Book Value of this car is $7949. Seeing as we have have done all major maintenance on this vehicle in the last 5000 miles, it is worth that. You will not need to do any major maintenance until 175,000 miles. Just buy and drive for a good 5-8 years before needing to do anything. We had planned on keeping it, but just had a new baby and need more room. We didn't realize that it was just a little too small for 2 car seats a double stroller when we bought it. I want a minivan :)

Come take a test drive...this car is well worth it and incredibly safe. You won't be disappointed. Local pickup only. We won't ship. You need to come and pick up.

Volvo teases minimalist, no-button EX90 interior

Sun, Oct 30 2022

The march to the November 9 reveal of the Volvo EX90 takes its next step with these renderings of a pared down interior. We'll see soon how it looks once the new materials, textures, colors, and tunnel console are added, but for the moment, there are four elements: An instrument panel with a demure HVAC vent, broken up by a steering wheel, a small, uncovered screen behind the wheel, and an infotainment screen. The portrait-oriented tablet carries over from current Volvo design, so too a three-spoke wheel. Everything else in Volvo's current interior schemes is thrown out, including the knobs and buttons on the center console. It looks like the premium brand's version of the interior we were introduced to in the Polestar 3. Fitting, since both vehicles will ride on the same platform and be built at the same U.S. plant.  The cabin's physical design and the car's technology share a same philosophy, which is, "What you need, when you need it." Volvo says that the sensor suite around the EX90 will give the car a 360-view of what's happening outside and inside the car. " Thomas Stovicek, head of UX at Volvo Cars, said, "Since the car also understands its surroundings and you better than ever before, we can create an even safer situation by reducing mode confusion, distraction and information overload." On the infotainment side, we're told this will be done by the vehicle providing contextual options and menus on the two screens. The center screen, which looks larger than the current XC90 unit, performs the roles we've come to expect of it. Autocar spoke with automaker developers and said the screen "will also show information based on context. If you’re simply driving along, a bar near the bottom of the screen will show media information; if youÂ’re on a call, it will show other controls; if itÂ’s cold, it may show the defrost button, etc." This situational knowledge will be especially important as more roads are opened up to hands-free driving and as self-driving capabilities become more capable. Swedish engineers point to the handover from hands-free and autonomous driving back to hands-on driving as a crucial moment. It wants to make that handoff "effortless and intuitive." The display behind the steering wheel is where the driver will go first for traditional info like speed and range, also to understand the operational state of the driver aids.

Volvo Cars August sales down 4.6% year-on-year

Sat, Sep 3 2022

HELSINKI — Sweden's Volvo Cars saw its August sales fall by 4.6% year-on-year to 43,666 vehicles as the global semiconductor shortage and other disruptions continued to hurt deliveries, the Swedish car maker said in a statement. Demand remained good, but the component shortages as well as power cuts and COVID-19 outbreaks in China interrupted output, the company said. Volvo Cars on Thursday said it would temporarily close its plant in the Chinese city of Chengdu due to local coronavirus restrictions and that a second facility had also been affected by recent lockdowns. The company's shares traded down 0.7% at 0737 GMT, lagging a 1% rise in Stockholm's benchmark index. Volvo launches next-gen Sensus Connect infotainment system [w/videos]

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

To borrow a line from another automaker, the Volvo S60 has the power to surprise - it's likely not top of mind for most entry-level luxury sedan buyers, but it's good enough that it probably should be. There's long been one pretty serious chink in its armor, though, and that goes for the company's entire model line: infotainment. The Swedish marque's offerings just haven't been that feature-rich, but Volvo is working to improve things with its updated Sensus Connect, a suite of functions just launched at this week's CES in Las Vegas.
The new system updates center on cloud-based connectivity advancements that include a novel Park&Pay feature that allows drivers to search for parking and pay for their space from the comfort of their car. Other functions that show off the diversity of Sensus Connect include embedded, Pandora-streaming internet radio, Wikipedia, remote start via smart phone, dealer appointment booking, destination attraction searches and an available wifi hotspot.
All of this increased functionality sounds like a big step in the right direction, and Volvo is noting it has refreshed the system's interface with "graphically themed center and driver displays" along with improved voice control and text-to-speech capabilities.
