Maintenance history: I am the 3rd owner of the vehicle; to my knowledge, all service has been performed on time. I did a stage 0 (oil change, spark plugs, transmissions fluid change, fuel filter) as soon as I purchased the car, and can show receipts for the parts. The only other information I have is what is on the Carfax (I can scan the one I received from dealer when I purchased ~2 months ago).
Service history: None that I am aware of, and no indications of major work performed.

The Good:
- Low miles
- No major issues
- Boost holds strong at ~13/14 psi, Vacuum at -20 psi
- Shifts well
- AWD works
- A/C blows cold
- Leather in good condition
- When I initially purchased the car, I had the Volvo dealership near me perform their 120-point (or similar #) inspection. The only 2 things they came back with were a broken license plate frame bracket (which I have replaced, its shiny in the pics) and a crack in the plastic wheel well liner (which I have not been able to locate, and does not cause any rubbing). I can provide a scan of the document they gave me stating as much.
- New Falken Ziex 235/45/R17 tires all round, less than 3k miles
- New brake pads and rotors (done by dealer prior to my purchase)
- Clean and clear title

The Bad:
- There is a small hole in the OTE pipe. Does not affect performance/boost.
- I broke a few of the clips holding the coil plug connectors onto the coils when doing the stage 0 maintenance. The breaks all occurred on the coil side, so replacing the coils will remedy this issue entirely. I discovered this problem when I reassembled everything after stage 0 and had a misfire problem driving down the block. I pulled everything apart, and remedied the situation with some strategically and securely placed zip ties.
- The top of the valve cover is yellowed a bit due to a leaking oil cap seal. I replaced the seal and its no longer leaking, but I have not cleaned the valve cover. This is visible in the engine pics.
- There is a section of the carpet on the rear driver's side floorboard that has frayed away (see pic). I honestly didnt even see this until I was cleaning the car for the photos today. I dont know how I missed it when I purchased the car, but I want to give full disclosure here.
- There are a few small paint scratches/nicks in various places around the car. The places that are most visible are the bumper beneath the trunk lid and the passenger side doors. Pics of these areas included below. I believe a good wax job will cure 90% of these spots.
- 17" pegasus wheels are in good condition, but not perfect. There are some blemishes that have been repaired, but are still visible. Nothing major and no bends, but again full disclosure.

Volvo to adopt NACS port, partners with Tesla for Supercharger access

Tue, Jun 27 2023

Volvo is the next automaker to announce that it’s signed an agreement with Tesla with will allow its current and future electric vehicles use of the Supercharger network. Plus, just like Ford and GM, Volvo says its new EVs from 2025 on will be equipped with the North American Charging Standard (NACS) port instead of the Combined Charging System (CCS) port. This agreement makes Volvo the first European automaker to adopt TeslaÂ’s charge port and gain access to the 12,000-plus Superchargers across the U.S. Volvo says that owners of its EVs will be able to access Superchargers as early as the first half of 2024 with an adapter. For Volvo EVs built with the NACS port, Volvo says those vehicles will still be capable of charging on CCS chargers with an adapter provided by Volvo. Volvo didnÂ’t explicitly say that the Supercharger network would be integrated into its carsÂ’ native navigation system (which is just Google Maps these days), but it did say that folks will be able to use the Volvo Cars app to do so. Via the app, youÂ’ll be able to locate chargers, get real-time availability info and pay for charging sessions. “As part of our journey to becoming fully electric by 2030, we want to make life with an electric car as easy as possible,” said Jim Rowan, Volvo CEO. “One major inhibitor to more people making the shift to electric driving – a key step in making transportation more sustainable – is access to easy and convenient charging infrastructure. Today, with this agreement, weÂ’re taking a major step to remove this threshold for Volvo drivers in the United States, Canada and Mexico.” Stay tuned, as itÂ’s only a matter of time until more and more automakers make a similar decision as Ford, GM and Volvo just made. Volvo won't entirely give up on sedans and station wagons

Mon, Jan 10 2022

Volvo, like an overwhelming majority of its peers and rivals, sells more SUVs and crossovers than sedans and station wagons. It confirmed plans to pivot away from low-riding models in 2021, but it stressed that it's not ready to throw in the towel in either segment quite yet. "Yes, the [V and S lines] will be replaced with something even more attractive to customers," affirmed company boss Hakan Samuelsson in an interview with British magazine Autocar. His comments come as a relief for Volvo wagon fans around the world, given that in 2021 he had said that the company needs "to move [on] from wagons and sedans." There's a catch, though: Future V and S models will look quite different than today's. Samuelsson (who will step down from his position in March 2022) acknowledged that Volvo needs lower-riding cars but noted that their design will evolve and become "maybe a little less square." It's not just about style, either. "Cars will be less boxy in the future, when we need to have lower air resistance. You could call it coupe-ish. We talk a lot about range in electric cars, but I think we will start looking at energy efficiency, and of course air resistance will be very central to that," he said. It helps that sleeker designs help keep buyers interested in sedans. Volvo's S90 and V90 were introduced and 2015 and 2016, respectively, so they're expected to be replaced in the not-too-distant future. One point that's still up in the air is what they'll be called. The Swedish company is preparing to ditch its alphanumerical naming system in order to give its cars an actual name, so both nameplates will die with the current-generation models. We'll have a better idea of what the future has in store when the XC90's replacement arrives later in 2022 with a new name, a new architecture, and a large serving of new technology.
