Selling my 2004 Volvo S60R loaded w/ power everything, heated seats, 6 disk CD changer, sunroof. 6 speed manual transmission. Everything working as it should. I am the 3rd owner. You will not find a better all around car than this in terms of speed, safety, appeal, utility. This car is a beast. Stock 300 hp and has an upgraded exhaust system and premium air filter. All together about 326hp and sounds like a Maserati! Not many cars on the road can match it, which is actually the company that designed the interior on this car which is gorgeous. Car is a great all around car with AWD. You can also change the suspension on this car making it nice and soft or firm like a race car. Changing the suspension also adjusts the accelerator making it more responsive.
The car does have some flaws like scratches and chips that are in tune with it's age but overall it is better than what you would expect for an 04 inside and out. Never got past that stage of staring at it whenever I get out of that car it is truly a beauty. Also comes with the 18 inch stock wheels (most you will see have the 17's (if you can find one)) and the stock body kit and side panels. The wheels do have some curb rash on them, though about having them redone but never bothered me that much.
The front part of the body kit was in rough shape when I bought this car so I took it off, plus it is very difficult to drive in and out of parking lots because it puts it so low to the ground. Despite that I bought a brand new stock front body kit a while ago because it makes the car look furious, that is primed and I will include it with the car in case you want to have it put back on (was about $650).
Tires and brakes brand new within the past year, new spark plugs, coils, front suspension, exhaust, and battery. Car has been maintained by Volvo in Brookline MA. Title is clean carfax is clean. Mobil 1 oil changes every 4000 miles. Any question send me a message and I will be happy to answer them.
Clutch is strong

Notes: The price is listed well under what the car is worth as per KBB for a private seller (8,250) This car on a dealers lot would sell for >10,000. Priced to sell quickly due to recent purchase of new vehicle. Serious inquiries only.

Verizon buys Telogis in connected vehicle market push
Wed, Jun 22 2016(Note/disclaimer: We are owned by Verizon, by way of AOL. This gives us no inside track whatsoever when it comes to news.) With a lot of tech companies and automakers staking their claims in the connected car space, now there are signs that others are looking to move in, too. Today, telecoms giant Verizon announced that it is acquiring Telogis, a California-based company that develops cloud-based solutions for mobile workforces, and specifically telematics, compliance and navigation software used by Ford, Volvo, GM and other car companies, as well as Apple and AT&T. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, although we'll try to find out. Considering that Verizon in 2015 reported full-year revenues of $131.6 billion, the price would have to be very high to be considered "material" and may not be made public for some time, if ever. Telogis in its time as a startup raised a substantial amount of money, just over $126 million in all, including $93 million in 2013, supposedly ahead of an IPO, all from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Back in 2013 when KPCB made its investment (which was the first from a VC firm in the company), Telogis told TechCrunch it was profitable and forecasting revenues of $100 million annually for the year. It's not clear what size those revenues are now, but if it was on the same growth trajectory as before the funding, sales would be around $150 million annually, with profitability, at the moment. Other investors include some very notable strategics: the investment arm of General Motors, and Fontinalis Partners, which also invests in Lyft and was co-founded by Bill Ford, the executive chairman of the Ford Motor Company. Before the acquisition, Verizon actually had a business in fleet management and telematics; in fact, the two companies competed against each other for business from the trucking and other industries. Verizon Telematics, as the business is called, is active in 40 countries. But in a way, Verizon buying Telogis is a sign that the latter may have proved to be the more superior, and the one with the key customer deals.

Volvo finds a way to turn body panels into batteries [w/video]
Thu, 17 Oct 2013One of the problems with designing an electric vehicle is figuring out where to fit the battery pack. Volvo - as a part of a European Union research project - is working on a way around this issue by replacing standard parts with lightweight components that double as batteries on both conventional and plug-in vehicles. The image above shows one such piece on a Volvo S80. While looking like nothing more than a carbon fiber plenum cover, the piece is actually a battery pack that can store and supply enough energy for the car's entire 12-volt power system.
The parts are made by sandwiching super capacitors (which can charge faster than standard batteries) in between layers of carbon fiber. They can then be formed to replace numerous body panels such as the decklid, roof or door panels. Volvo says that the replacing the body panels and batteries with these nano batteries can help reduce the vehicle's weight by as much as 15 percent. It has taken more than three years just to design the batteries, so there's no telling when, or if, we'll ever see this technology used on a production vehicle. Scroll down for a video and press release on Volvo's innovative battery technology.
