2011 Volvo S40 T5 Sedan 2.5l Salvage Light Interior Burn Rebuildable Wrecked on 2040-cars
Muscadine, Alabama, United States
2011 Volvo S40 T5 2.5 liter turbo charged engine with automatic transmission. Equipped with very good and clean black leather seats. Driver seat is power with memory. This Volvo appears it had a shortage under the passenger side dash at the kick panel. Small computer box to the right of the fuse panel is melted and also the wiring harnesses coming out of it. Also the back bottom of the passenger seat has fire damage. Don't really understand why unless the box under the dash is tied in with the power seat somehow. The carpet is damaged under the passenger side dash and will need replaced. The passenger seat will need replaced or repaired. The dash will need removed and replace or repair the wiring harness. The fuse box does not appear to be damaged. Passenger side windshield post has smoke damage but should clean. The back of the glove box does not show any heat damage from the inside. The front bumper will have to be repainted because of paint flaking off. No other body damage at all. No dent some very light scratches on rear bumper. This car will not start and the odometer does not light up. It probably has a lot of fuses blown. I do not know the mileage on this car. I bought it from an insurance company as miles unknown. I does have a GEORGIA SALVAGE TITLE that should be rebuildable in all states. The title shows 93843 miles but is marked on the back as not actual miles and I will have to sell same way. This car is very clean inside and out. Inside of trunk and under hood very clean. Looks like its been taken very good care of. Has alloy wheels with very good tires and no curb rash. Also comes with 2 keys with keyless entry. Owners manuals and floor mats are missing. I have tried to list everything damaged on this Volvo and show all damage in pictures, But with any damaged vehicle some things could be over looked. You are welcome and encouraged to come by and inspect. The Volvo does not run. No airbags are blown. This car does have a salvage title. The above description is my opinion not any kind of guarantee. Some people would fix damaged parts others won't. I do have for sale locally and do reserve the right to end early. Please view my feedback and email any questions. Thank you for viewing my auctions! |

Watch this Volvo truck drive up a quarry road using hamster-powered steering
Fri, 13 Sep 2013Volvo Trucks has been producing some of the most interesting and thrilling commercials around as of late, and this new one involves a live hamster. While you may wonder how could a hamster and a dump truck could be exciting, just know this ain't a Kia Soul commercial: the Swedish truck company enlists the help of a hamster named Charlie to steer an FMX construction truck up a winding road in Ourence, Spain. From the bottom of a quarry. We are not kidding you.
All we ask is that you watch the commercial below to see how it all goes down. If you like what you see, you can then check out a bonus 'behind the scenes' video and press release for details about how Volvo Trucks prepared for the stunt.
Volvo ditches the diesel engine
Tue, Sep 19 2023Having already committed to producing nothing but electric vehicles by 2030 and being "climate neutral" by 2040, it doesn't come as a major surprise that Volvo will stop building and selling diesel-fueled vehicles next year. Way back in 2017, Volvo signaled its intention to phase out diesel engines due to rising costs of emissions technologies. Still, hearing that the very last Volvo ever to be fitted with a diesel engine will be built "a few months from now" may raise an eyebrow or two and serves as a clear reminder that in a few short years we'll be reading similar press releases about gasoline from the Swedish automaker and many others. There are two clear reasons why Volvo is ditching diesel. The first, according to Volvo Chief Executive Jim Rowan, is that electric is simply better. “Electric powertrains are our future, and superior to combustion engines: they generate less noise, less vibration, less servicing costs for our customers and zero tailpipe emissions,” says Rowan. The second reason behind the decision to depart the diesel market is similarly clear: climate change. Rowan says, "It is high time for industry and political leaders to be strong and decisive, and deliver meaningful policies and actions to fight climate change. WeÂ’re committed to doing our part and encourage our peers as well as political leaders around the globe to do theirs." Highlighting how quickly things have changed for Volvo, the automaker says that the majority of cars it sold in Europe as recently as 2019 were powered by diesel engines. Now, in the year 2023, the company says "that trend has largely inverted itself since then, driven by changing market demand, tighter emission regulations as well as our focus on electrification. The majority of our sales in Europe now consists of electrified cars, with either a fully electric or plug-in hybrid powertrain." Related video: This content is hosted by a third party.
