Description:
This car is truly a blast to drive! The get up and go this car offers is outstanding - if you haven't yet driven a T5, find one locally (if you're not near mine) and you'll understand why you want to be driving this car. The AWD functionality combined with the high-end Nitto SN2 snow tires give you year round performance. The Volvo safety speaks for itself. The interior is in excellent shape (except for the small exceptions listed) and will be detailed before final sale. The exterior has a few scrapes and dings, as are expected for an 8+ year old car, but nothing excessive. I will also be detailing the exterior before final sale to help reduce the number of surface scratches.

These AWD models are rare and this is only one of a couple now posted on ebay.  Don't miss
it!  Ask your questions sooner rather than later.  With the price set over $1200 below the retail NADA, you can expect this to move quick.

Below is a list of maintenance that I have recently performed myself or had a local, very highly rated, "indy" shop complete. All records will be included with final sale. After completing the front suspension replacement, I purchased the 3 year/36k mile unlimited alignment plan from Tires Plus/Firestone. This will transfer with the vehicle and is not owner based, so you'll get it with roughly 32 months/33k miles left of FREE alignments. So whenever you put new all-season/summer tires on in the spring, you can rest easy that you won't have to spend $80 every time.  When the timing belt/water pump/coolant were done, the shop performed a full pressure test and it passed without any leaks or issues.

Recent maintenance (completed in the last 5k miles) includes:
· OEM timing belt, timing tensioner, and pulleys
· OEM Water pump, seal, and bolts
· Genuine Volvo Coolant flush
· Genuine Volvo Oil Filter housing, gaskets, seals, and hose (Replaced under PCV Oil Trap
Extended Warranty 205)
· Genuine Volvo thermostat kit (thermostat, housing, thermostat cover, o-ring, gasket and three thermostat cover bolts)
· Genuine Volvo front struts, front strut mounts, and front strut bearings
· Genuine Volvo front sway bar endlinks
· Genuine Volvo upper-right (passenger side) motor mount
· Two (2) New accessory belts
· Cabin filter
· Dealer completed oil and filter change

This car has a clean title and is accident free. The asking price may be slighltly higher than some others available, however, keep in mind that over $3k in regularly required parts/labor has just been put into this car to get it in prime selling condition, which most of the others do not have completed and certainly will need.  It is also the AWD, which is the big price differentiator.

Blemishes:
All defects are cosmetic and were from previous owner.

Interior: Driver door aluminum handle panel has many pin sized dents (hard to capture in included image but looks like it was from the owners ring as it is on the handle for pushing/pulling the door open); A couple very small dings/scrapes on center console aluminum; Each aluminum panel on all 4 doors armrests has some minor scuff from regular use;

Exterior: Driver mirror has 3"x.5" plastic piec of frame broken off; ~1' surface scratch on driver door; Multiple small paint chips on front bumper from general road use; Rear bumper has indent from another car's license plate bolts in a parking lot (They pulled to close); 3 small (~.5", ~1", ~3") width dents on passenger-side rear door panel (unable to capture in images as they are so small); Other general surface scratches from age of car with regular usage.

Inspections:
If you are an out of state buyer, I will work with you and your certified inspection agency to complete their inspection promptly.  Requests from local buyers to have the vehicle inspected at a local independent shop will be considered on a case by case basis.  National agencies such as Carchex are a great option and are affordable while also providing additional details/images of any defects with the car -
https://www.carchex.com/car-inspections.

Payment:
A deposit of $300.00 USD is required within 48 hours of purchase confirmation.  Buyer has 7 days from auction close to complete remaining payment amount via certified Cashier’s Check, money order, or cash (in-person only).

Shipping/Pickup:

I am happy to work with a shipping company of your choice. All shipping related expenses are to be paid for by the buyer. I suggest you research your own shipping methods with a website such as http://www.uship.com/ or follow the ideas ebay motors has provided.

If you are in the Colorado area, I can personally deliver the vehicle to within 60 miles of the Denver metro area at no extra charge, if you desire.  Pickup will be allowed as soon as payment has cleared.

Before any shipping or delivery, full payment must be received by the seller, and cleared, before the vehicle will be released for shipping or delivery.

Notes:
Please let me know if you have any questions. I am happy to communicate with all legitimate buyers and answer any questions. If there are any specific pictures/angles you would like to see, please ask and I will do my best to capture it for you.

Please feel free to reach out via ebay and provide a phone number I can reach you at, if you wish to ask any questions or schedule a showing.

The vehicle mileage is current, however, it is still being driven regularly and can be expected to have a few hundred additional miles on it from regular driving.  The vehicle is being sold AS-IS and will come with no specific warranties.  Certain warranties may or may not be included with the recent services completed by McDonald Volvo and Platinum Auto Services in Denver, CO, but no such warranties are provided by the seller.

2023 Volvo XC40 and XC40 Recharge Review: Gas or electric? You can’t go wrong

Wed, Mar 1 2023

Pros: Cute and functional design; efficient powertrains; a good overall value Cons: Recycled materials can feel cheap; Recharge has average EV range; doesn’t qualify for federal EV tax credit The 2023 Volvo XC40 is arguably the most visually attractive subcompact luxury SUV out there. ItÂ’s boxy, proportioned well and features the trademark Swedish design we love. Volvo prodded this yearÂ’s XC40 with a number of updates, and now the previously ho-hum powertrains are a little nicer to live with (if hardly zesty in their performance). Of course, you can bypass them altogether with the all-electric XC40 Recharge that shares its design, interior features and utility with the gas model, but really amps up the fun with sprightly acceleration and better handling. Oh, and of course, doesnÂ’t require stops at the gas station or emit CO2. While the XC40 isnÂ’t the biggest in the segment, itÂ’s not the smallest either. This, plus its utilitarian proportions make it more useful than it may look on the outside. Fans of Google tech will enjoy the Google-based infotainment system, but you can still use Apple CarPlay for streaming apps from the Apple ecosystem. All told, the XC40 is one of our favorite subcompact luxury SUVs, and indeed, one of the few we recommend. It has the size, style and quality that justifies its higher price over various non-luxury entries. Plus, the gasoline versions, particularly the upgraded B5, provide stronger value than its various competitors. Even the electric Recharge, which carries a steep price increase, at least provides a strong performance upgrade for the money.   Interior & Technology   |   Passenger & Cargo Space   |   Performance & Fuel Economy What it's like to drive   |   Pricing & Trim Levels   |   Crash Ratings & Safety Features What's new for 2023? The XC40 lineup, including the XC40 Recharge, get a mild refresh for 2023. Small styling changes include a new front bumper, frameless grille and “pixel” LED headlight technology. New colors and wheels come into the fold, too. Both of the gasoline-powered XC40s gain 48-volt mild-hybrid systems to aid efficiency. Inside, Volvo adds non-leather upholstery to the Recharge, and all models adopt the Google-based infotainment system that was previously a Recharge exclusive. What are the XC40Â’s interior and in-car technology like?

2020 Volvo XC90 Inscription Interior Driveway Test | A lesson in minimalist luxury

Thu, Sep 10 2020

We tend to love Volvo interiors. They’re beautiful, simple, inviting and a relaxing place to spend time in. Designers needed to get it right, too, because Volvo has applied the same styling and design language to every vehicle in its lineup. WeÂ’re focusing on the flagship today: the 2020 Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription. Since our tester is the Inscription trim, that means itÂ’s the most luxurious version of the bunch (Momentum and R-Line are the two others). Some highlights include perforated Nappa leather seats, a “tailored dashboard,” Gray Ash Wood trim inlays and the Orrefors crystal shift knob.  Our car had the Charcoal interior scheme to play along nicely with the trim. The contrast between the light wood trim and gray stitching with the black leather is pleasing to the eye. Volvo uses a gratuitous but not overwhelming amount of piano black trim to bring some shine to the interior. ItÂ’s nice to see and touch on the buttons, but gets dirty quickly around the flat gear lever area where dust tends to collect. Much of the dash is left blank in a nod to minimalism. WeÂ’re left with a large nine-inch touchscreen oriented vertically in the center, just like every other Volvo on sale today. This is flanked by the center air vents. ThereÂ’s little to no styling going on with the vents, which seems like a missed opportunity. Regardless, we dig the layered and nicely-stitched dash that comes with the Inscription model. Also nestled into the dash is this crossoverÂ’s 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. ItÂ’s basic in its visuals, but plenty effective at conveying important car information. We like the more vibrant and customizable clusters from Mercedes-Benz and Audi a lot, but this one gets the job done and it isnÂ’t distracting in the least bit. Volvo has your back when it comes to comfort. Our tester has the Luxury Package, so itÂ’s equipped with massaging front seats, heated rear seats and a heated steering wheel. Additionally, Volvo finishes the headliner in Nubuck, and the grab handles and visors get leather. Unlike everybody else, Volvo allows you to choose between three levels of heat for the steering wheel. ItÂ’s noticeable to our hands, and is great when you want to add a little heat into your fingers without being scalded. As for the massage, itÂ’s backrest only. We wish it was back and bottom, but at least the programs available for your back are soothing.

Volvo, Daimler, Traton join forces to build electric truck charging network

Tue, Jul 6 2021

Volvo Group, Daimler Truck and Volkswagen's AG heavy-truck business the Traton Group announced on Monday a non-binding agreement to build a network of high-performance public charging stations for electric heavy-duty long-haul trucks and buses around Europe. The news was first reported by Reuters. The three major European automakers will invest ˆ500 million (~$593 million USD) to install and operate 1,700 charging points in strategic locations and close to highways. They intend to finalize the agreement by the end of this year and start operations next year, with the hopes of increasing the number of charge points significantly as the companies seek additional partners for the future joint venture. The venture is meant to be a catalyst to prepare for the European Union's goals of carbon-neutral freight transportation by 2050. One of the main deterrents for both individuals and freight companies for switching to EVs has historically been a lack of charging infrastructure. By building that infrastructure, Volvo, Daimler and Traton can also expect to boost their own sales of electric trucks and buses. “It is the joint aim of EuropeÂ’s truck manufacturers to achieve climate neutrality by 2050," Martin Daum, CEO Daimler Truck, said in a statement.  "However, it is vital that building up the right infrastructure goes hand in hand with putting CO2-neutral trucks on the road. Together with Volvo Group and the Traton Group, we are therefore very excited to take this pioneering step to establish a high-performance charging network across Europe.” The partnership between Volvo and Daimler isn't unprecedented. In May, the two competitors teamed up to produce hydrogen fuel cells for long-haul trucks to lower development costs and boost production volumes. This latest venture is another signal that major companies are banding together to solve climate-related issues in the industry. European car industry association ACEA has called for up to 50,000 high-performance charging points by 2030. Traton CEO Matthias Gruendler told Reuters that roughly 10 billion euros would be needed to build out Europe's infrastructure to be fully electrified by 2050. According to a statement released by Volvo, this venture is also a call to action for others with a stake in the industry, like automakers or governments, to work together to ensure the rapid expansion needed to reach climate goals.
