Good:
Timing belt done around the 115k mark.
Suspension replaced not too long ago too. Feels nice and tight.
All options work. Heater works. A/C works. Fan works on all speeds.
Moon roof works. Heated seats work. Interior is in overall good shape as is the exterior.
Newer tires.
Engine is smooth.
Transmission is solid no slips or hesitation.
This car has all the options for the year. (Leather, Auto Trans., Power seat, Heated seats, Moon roof, Traction control)

Bad:
Check engine light on for the following reasons.
Needs a cam sensor I believe intake. Roughly 150$
Needs an 02 sensor I believe post cat. 45$
Needs a new windshield. 140$
Needs exhaust work.  ~150-200$ depends on the shop

Otherwise it is in good running shape. Will do 80 90 mph no problem. Really good on gas and great with parking since its pretty small. Rare color too.
Great for a student, a first car, or a commuter. Also good for parts, the body is straight and in very good shape. Curb free rims, all OE glass etc.

Volvo Cars laying off 1,300 as it steps up cost cuts

Thu, May 4 2023

Volvo Cars will lay off around 1,300 office-based employees in Sweden as it steps up cost cutting, the Sweden-based automaker said on Thursday. While an earlier efficiency drive had begun to show results, with Volvo this week reporting a strong first quarter, more efficiency was needed, CEO Jim Rowan said in a statement. "Economic headwinds, increased raw material prices and increased competition are likely to remain a challenge to our industry for some time," he said. The 1,300 positions equate to 6% of Volvo Cars' workforce in Sweden. Rowan told Reuters the group did not yet know how much it would save from the new measures. "We're still working the details through on that," he said in an interview. The company said it had issued redundancy notices for 1,100 employees, while the remaining 200 white-collar positions would be identified following a review of the business across Sweden. It said it also expected to cut jobs and reduce costs across its global operations in the coming months, including its consultancies. Rowan said he could not yet specify where those jobs would be cut, but that focus would primarily remain on office-based positions. "We sell in over 80 countries or so worldwide, so I think there's opportunities for us to become more efficient across the entire network," he told Reuters. Volvo Cars shares were down 3.87% at 0848 GMT.   Earnings/Financials Hirings/Firings/Layoffs Volvo SUV Luxury

VW ID.4, the new Buick Envision and crossing Hyundai's N Line | Autoblog Podcast #668

Fri, Mar 5 2021

In this week's Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Associate Editor Byron Hurd. It's a review-packed episode this week, but it kicks off with a discussion of Volvo's plans to electrify by 2030 and move their EV sales online. From there, they get into Greg's time with VW's game-changing new ID.4 electric crossover. Byron then talks about his time with two very different new vehicles: the 2021 Buick Envision luxury crossover and the 2021 Hyundai Sonata N Line, which may or may not be a sport sedan. Finally, they tackle a fascinatingly complex twitter question: What is the best 'economy' muscle car? 10 best new car deals in late September 2021

Wed, Sep 29 2021

New car sales were drastically affected in 2020 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but things started to show signs of recovery toward the end of the year before really coming on strong in the early months of 2021. Now there's an ongoing shortage of microchips causing a great deal of pricing fluctuation and a limited supply of certain vehicles. That doesn't mean there aren't still great deals on new cars, though. Using data provided by TrueCar, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best automotive deals for September 2021. WeÂ’ve noted the original MSRP, the average transaction price, and the total savings in both dollars and as a percentage of the original sticker price. Basically, weÂ’ve done all the hard work for you! So now, all you need to do is compare deals, go on a few test drives, and maybe drive away in a great car (and an even better bargain).
