I have a 1966 Volvo 122 S Amzon for sale. One of the coolest cars volvo ever made in my opinion.
These cars rarely come up for sale and specially in this condition.
This volvo is a california car that spent most of its life in the garage.
This is a modified Amazon, however it retains its stock look until it flyes by you on the highway doing 90..oops

This is the original color, color code 96 dark blue.
Its an older repaint but it looks great,no fading. The chrome and stainless is in good condition, not perfect.
The car is rust free, the rocker covers are clean, frame rails are solid. The front floor pans were changed years ago, rear ones are original and clean.
All the doors open and close nicely.
Original wheels with like new Kumho tires.Trunk and cargo area are clean, original floor jack and tires are included.

The interior is very cool, reupholstered seats in dark blue, new door cards, new carpet and headliner.
Seats are re stuffed and theyre very comfortable.Neat floor mounted heat/frsh air diffuser makes sure that the air is distributed evenly in the cabin.Seats 5 easily,or fold the rear seat and you have quite a large trunk. You can even sleep in there.
The dash is modified in a very cool way.It holds quite a few vintage SW gauges that monitor your engine, very GT-ish.Only one gauge does not work, which would be the boost gauge.Previous owner wanted to turbo charge it,but never got around it.
Really nice vintage Personal wooden steering wheel.Modern stereo head unit with top of the line speakers, sounds great, however I prefer to listen to the engine.
Couple of toggle switches on the dash which activates the electronic overdrive and a couple of other things.
The heater works, the lights work, turn signals work, horn works. Also cigarette lighter slot has power, very important so you can charge your phone or use the GPS.

Now onto the fun things.
The engine is a B20 with 24k miles on it.No leaks,no smoke runs very strong.
New plugs and wires, fresh oil,new engine mounts, new belts,IPD finned valve cover.
Bigger valves, single Weber carb, electronic ignition, remote oil filter and huge oil cooler just in front of the radiator.
Re cored radiator with add on electrical fan for backup.
Great brakes with updated brake booster.New shocks and bushings, the car feels tight.
4 speed transmission with electric overdrive, limited slip differential, new limiting straps, big sway bar kit from IPD.
The car is a lot of fun to drive, brakes good, handles very good and its quick.Keeps up with modern traffic very easily.

Faster than a prius, cooler then a civic.Lots of room to carry stuff or to go camping, surfing or canyon driving.
As with any old cars there are imperfections such as the paint on the roof has a crack, front bumper has a scratch and the hood has a couple of paint chips.Hardly noticeable but its there. This would be an ideal daily driver or first car.Its cheap to maintain and its reliable.
It has a clean california title.

Editors’ Picks February 2023 | Audi RS 3, electric G80 and a longtime favorite

Wed, Mar 1 2023

In this month’s set of EditorsÂ’ Picks, we see a wide variety of vehicles earn our recommended status. The Audi RS 3 is a truly stellar sedan with a killer engine, great handling and still enough comfort for daily use. Genesis finds its way onto the list again with its electric version of the G80 midsize sedan, and VolvoÂ’s XC90 still charms after all these years. In case you missed our previous Editors' Picks posts, hereÂ’s a quick refresher on whatÂ’s going on here. We rate all the new cars we drive with a 1-10 score. Cars that are exemplary in their respective segments get an EditorsÂ’ Pick designation. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. The list that youÂ’ll find below consists of every car we rated in January that earned an EditorsÂ’ Pick. 2023 Audi RS 3 Quick take: The Audi RS 3 keeps the passion alive with a superb sounding 5-cylinder engine and a torque-vectoring rear differential that massively ups the handling fun. Its interior is a little bland, but it's still a handsome Audi on the outside. Score: 8.0 What it competes with: Mercedes-AMG CLA 45, BMW M240i, Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, VW Golf R Pros: Epic engine sound, fun AWD system, great handling and acceleration, attractive exterior styling Cons: Interior doesn't pop, expensive for its size From the editors: Road Test Editor Zac Palmer — "If you love a special engine, the Audi RS 3 is a car for you. Few powertrains sound and feel as special as the 5-cylinder engine in the RS 3, and the ferocity with which it accelerates will have you laughing your head off with every pull. The sheer performance out of this little machine is extraordinary, and I'd recommend it to anybody shopping for a small, luxury sports car daily. All that said, I wish Audi could've sorted out better steering and a suitable interior. As-is, both of those factors are negatives in a car that is almost all upside." In-depth analysis: 2023 Audi RS 3 First Drive Review: To hell with business cases   2023 Volvo XC90 2022 Volvo XC90 Recharge View 15 Photos Quick take: The XC90 may be old now, but key updates and a timeless design ensure it's competitive as ever. The Scandinavian interior design appeal has never faded, and now the Google-based infotainment system is fresh and snappy. Even the Recharge PHEV is an awesome alternative with great range and strong electric motor.

Volvo V60 Polestar is one hot hauler

Tue, 26 Nov 2013

Earlier this year, Polestar jumped from the racetrack to the showroom with its own take on the Volvo S60 sedan. And given the similarity and the proud history of hot Volvo wagons, not to mention the spy shots and teasers, we knew it would only be a matter of time before Volvo's racing partner would return with a similar take on the V60. And that's just what it's done.
Powering the new Volvo V60 Polestar is the same 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six as the sedan, driving 350 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission and Haldex all-wheel-drive system. Hitting 62 miles per hour reportedly happens in the same 4.9 seconds as the sedan, on its way to a stop speed of 155 mph.
The power upgrades come courtesy of a twin-scroll Borg Warner turbocharger, intercooler and overhauled exhaust system. Other upgrades over Volvo's own R-Design model include stiffer springs, Öhlins shocks, 20-inch wheels, Brembo brakes and a full aero kit, not to mention an upgraded cabin from which to command the performance.

5 thoughts about the 2024 Volvo C40 Recharge

Wed, Mar 20 2024

BIRMINGHAM, Mich. -- The Volvo C40 Recharge is a quirky yet elegant little hatch with a lot to talk about. Along with the XC40, it’s the first rear-wheel-drive Volvo since the 1990s. The cabin blends Google power with Scandinavian simplicity. I think the C40 looks like an early crossover from the ‘80s. So yes, I have thoughts. Five of them. The design reminds me of the AMC Eagle Stay with me here. Am I the only one who thinks this looks like an AMC Eagle? ItÂ’s the big wheels — these diamond-cut silver and black rollers measure 20 inches — and the silhouette. A slightly lifted hatchback is a crossover these days, but it shares some of the quirkiness and car-like quality of the Eagle, which could be considered an early crossover. Tenuous design connections aside, the slab front end, LED headlights and prominent Volvo emblem conjure the requisite premium feel. It does look the part of an EV, which is a natural vibe for Volvos in general. They exude quirky sophistication layered over Scandinavian minimalism and sensibility. Not your flavor of vodka? You may have heard the Dodge Charger is now an electric vehicle. I had an odd charging experience With a few minutes to kill on a Saturday morning, I pulled into a ChargePoint station to try to grab some bonus miles. I didnÂ’t have much time, but the ChargePoint chargers were literally across the street from where I was going. Might as well be plugged into one if IÂ’m going to sit in the parking lot, drink coffee and read Autoblog on my phone. Alas, the driver screen read “initializing charging” but never consummated the charge. I unplugged and re-plugged. No dice. ChargePoint charged me $2 for the pleasure of hooking up my car and not charging for five minutes. Like I said, I was just killing time and didnÂ’t absolutely need the juice, so away I went. I try to make a point of charging EVs on public infrastructure for each test car, and the results are uneven. This C40 had been recently charged, so I tend to think it was just a ‘bad handshakeÂ’ between the car and the charger, which seems to be common for EV owners. I suppose it could have been user error, too. In these situations thereÂ’s a tendency to assign blame. IÂ’m not. IÂ’m just saying it didnÂ’t work. ItÂ’s a fun little thing to drive The single, rear-mounted motor delivers 248 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque.
