For sale is a one owner 2006 Volkswagen Jetta TDI that is very clean. It runs and drives 100%, has a clean Autocheck, is very fuel efficient and is being sold with no reserve.

The 1.9L four cylinder turbo diesel purrs along without a miss, has no fluid loss and has plenty of power. No "check engine" or any warning lights. The 5 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly with plenty of clutch. The brakes, suspension and steering are in great condition. No exhaust leaks.

The exterior is a glossy metallic gray. It is very clean with no major dents or dings. One would have to look hard to find any imperfections. No body rust. The lights and lenses are bright with no cracks. No windshield chips or cracks. The tires, on factory alloy wheels, have about 25% tread (see pic). The exterior is in very good condition and should be considered above average considering the miles.

The interior is gray carpet and seats. The seats are Volkswagen leatherette. The front seats are heated. There are no wear areas, stains, holes or problems of any kind on the seats or carpet. They look new. There is a factory sound system with CD. The heat is hot and the AC is cold. ALL the power options such as sunroof, cruise control, side mirrors, driver seat, windows, etc. work as designed. The interior is above average clean and comfortable.

This 2006 Jetta TDI runs and drives like new. There are absolutely no mechanical issues and no indication of any impending problems. We would expect many more miles and years of reliable service. The new owner will be able to drive home, with confidence, no matter where they live. Volkswagen e-Co-Motion concept poised for delivery to Geneva

With Nissan getting ready to launch the e-NV200, it appears Volkswagen is looking to go after the same zero-emission commercial vehicle market with the all-electric 2013 e-Co-Motion Concept. Debuting next week at the Geneva Motor Show, the e-Co-Motion Concept might be small in size, but VW says it has cargo and payload capacities that should be perfect for small businesses.
Measuring 179 inches long, 75 inches wide and 77 inches tall, the e-Co-Motion Concept has about the same footprint as the current Golf, and it has a cargo capacity of 162 cubic feet and a maximum payload of more than 1,700 pounds. There isn't too much information on the e-Co-Motion just yet - such as what electric components and platform are used - but the press release posted below states while the concept is shown as a cargo van, future body styles could include a passenger wagon or a refrigerated box van.

BMW says its diesels are above board

BMW got yanked into the riptide of the Volkswagen diesel scandal thanks to a report in Auto Bild, which Auto Bild has now clarified. On Thursday the German magazine said that when the International Council on Clean Transportation tested the X3 xDrive 2.0d, the ICCT discovered the diesel X3's tailpipe emissions exceeded the European limit by more than 1,100 percent. The key detail, though, is that apparently at no time did the ICCT find that BMW cheated on any emissions tests. No one has explained why the X3 diesel had such high emissions and the ICCT wouldn't comment on the Auto Bild report. But the mag has issued a clarification asserting that in spite of the excessive emissions, there is no evidence BMW engaged in regulatory subterfuge. Every other BMW vehicle ICCT tested was within compliance, but the organization's report from October 2014 - that no one paid attention to - found that nitrogen oxide emissions in 15 vehicles it tested averaged seven times the European limit. The brand's stock is still suffering from the taint. It dropped almost ten percent the day the report came out before rallying to close at five percent down. But on Monday BMW stock closed at 84.01 euros, and as of writing on Friday it's still trying to fight its way back above 80 euros. With so many people still just trying to find out how widespread the the issue is, and trust rather low, it's likely BMW won't be the one dragged down, fairly or not. Related Video:

Each year, the Vienna International Motor Symposium showcases some of the up-and-coming technologies automakers are engineering for the use in passenger cars, and Volkswagen AG CEO Martin Winterkorn revealed some big developments VW is working on for its future products. Winterkorn discussed a multi-faceted approach that VW is looking to reduce its fleet fuel consumption and exhaust emissions.
Some of the bigger news he discussed included a "high-performance" diesel engine that will produce 134 horsepower per liter and a 10-speed DSG automatic transmission. While no specific applications were mentioned, we can only hope this is for the Audi R4 we keep hearing about.
Another topic he touched on that caused us to perk up our ears was had to do with VW's plug-in hybrid technology. While we know the PHEV versions of the Audi A3 and Porsche Panamera are on the way, Winterkorn also said that these two models will be followed up by Golf, Passat, Audi A6 and Porsche Cayenne plug-in models.
