What we're selling is a Super Clean 2003 VW Jetta 2.8 VR6 GLX. The vehicle was recently taken in on a trade from an older lady who wanted a newer SUV. This vehicle is in really great shape, and I feel who buys it will be very happy with it.

Here's more details about the vehicle:

- It has full leather seats, the seats are in great shape with no major cracks or damage as you can see in the picture.

- The vehicle appears to be all original, has no signs of abuse and was driven by a woman. The car was meticulously maintained and all service work was always done to it. Many of the repair records are available.

- The exterior of the vehicle is in great shape, no make defects besides a couple small door dings etc. but overall I feel the buyer of this car will be super happy with it. The car appears in great shape, doesn't appear to have an collision damage to it, and the body seems all original. It is an original southern car and from what I can tell never really left Georgia and Tennessee, meaning it is not rusted and the body is like new.

- The Engine is perfect, makes no noises, leaks no oil, and has no check engine light. The obvious 2.8 problems are not present, and I feel this car is very dependable and will make it anywhere.

- The Transmission has just been serviced, and shifts perfectly smooth.

- The Suspension is ultra tight, and it has new front Bilstein struts installed on the vehicle. The Brakes are also new on the front and the rears have a ton of life left to them.

This vehicle is available for viewing in Nashville TN. If you have any questions or need any other information about the vehicle please feel free to call me at 615-243-4372.

I feel the person who gets this vehicle will be extremely happy with it. There are not many Jetta VR6's left out there that are as clean as this one. Do not hesitate to drive this vehicle anywhere, as I feel it is ultra reliable and will make it anywhere.

VW lawyers up with firm that defended BP

Wed, Sep 23 2015

The string of bad news for Volkswagen shows no sign of slowing yet, especially with the recent resignation of CEO Martin Winterkorn. For aid in its legal defense in the US over its ongoing diesel emissions scandal, the automaker has now employed Kirkland & Ellis LLP, which was the same law firm BP used for the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, according to Automotive News. VW is surely hoping that things go easier for it than BP. After the massive oil spill, the company paid $4 billion to settle criminal allegations and another $18.7 billion for the other federal and state claims, Automotive News reports. We'll see. Based on fines for each of the 482,000 diesel vehicles with this evasive software in the US, VW could be on the hook for $18 billion from this lapse. In addition, 11 million units are potentially affected across the globe, and the company is already setting aside 6.5 billion euros ($7.25 billion) in expected costs. The automaker's stock on the German exchange is being hit hard by this scandal. The original discovery of high pollution levels in VW's 2.0-liter TDI engine began with researchers last summer, and the Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board had been working on the problem for months before the EPA issued its notice of violation on September 18. A criminal investigation has now begun. The day before his resignation, Winterkorn issued a video where he apologized profusely for the scandal and promised to make things right.

Tanner Foust drifts Rockstar Passat around US Cycling TT course

Fri, May 22 2015

The USA Cycling Time Trials take place on Saturday in Chattanooga, TN. That's also where Volkswagen has its US headquarters. So in honor of the event, VW decided to have a little fun involving Tanner Foust and a 900-horsepower Rockstar Drift car. That's a 900-hp Passat, by the way. Pro cyclist Tim Johnson rides along with Foust, showing him the intricacies of the cycling TT course. But of course, with a 900-hp drift car at his disposal, Foust makes use of roundabouts and turnaround points to do what he does best. We won't spoil the rest of the short, minute-and-fifteen-second video posted above. But if you like smoky drifts from super-modified midsize sedans, this clip is for you.

New investor allows Suzuki to fend off VW

Tue, Aug 4 2015

After years of legal wrangling, the long-soured partnership between Volkswagen and Suzuki looks finally to be coming out of arbitration, according to Bloomberg. As a sign of the Japanese brand's improved fortunes, hedge fund Third Point LLC recently bought an undisclosed stake in the company. The investor reported seeing a major opportunity in the successful Maruti Suzuki business in India. As an investment, the only major problem that Third Point found with Suzuki was its legal battle with VW. "The company's greatest asset is its low-cost manufacturing process for vehicles for the emerging market consumer," the fund said in a letter, according to Bloomberg. Third Point reportedly also wants a seat on Suzuki's board, despite being a minority shareholder. The alliance between Suzuki and VW goes back to late 2009. In the deal, the Japanese brand was meant to get access to cutting-edge tech, and the German firm got a helping hand towards better establishing itself in India and Southeast Asia. Things didn't go as planned, though. Less than two years later, Suzuki's boss publicly derided the deal. Eventually, the allegations started going back and forth, and the two have been working out a way to untangle practically ever since. Among the biggest issue has been how to get back the 19.9 percent stake that VW purchased. According to Bloomberg, the arbitration is now technically over. With the divorce nearly final, the two sides are just waiting on a decision on how to split things up. Suzuki may even just buy VW's stake to get the shares back.
