up for sale is a 2002 volkwagen jetta 1.8 turbo show car. the car most likely needs a transmission bc for some reason the car wont shift out of second gear. the car has over $10,000 of aftermarket parts on it i just dont have the time to fix it so i need to get it out of my garage asap.. it has a full custom stereo system in the trunk with two 12 inch polk subwoofers hanging from the rear deck. one alpine 450-4 m series amplifier on the left and one alpine m series 600-1 amp on the right with a full custom trunk and custom rear deck wrapped in red suede. the car has the top of line polk component speakers in the front and rear of the car. autometer boost and volt meter gauges. kenwood 6000ex navigation bluetooth ipod double din but the cd player doesnt work but other than that everything is working perfectly. the car has a cracked front bumper lip which can be removed. the car has black leather and red suede interior seats doors and headliner are all wrapped as well. the car has a neuspeed turbo intake, neuspeed strut and sway bars, and neuspeed turbo boost upgrade software for more boost. other than the transmission the car runs great with no problems at all. the car has 18 inch tsw indy 500 wheels one which has a curb scrape in it with newer tires. the car also has a full eibach suspension including struts and springs. the car also has a magnaflow aftermarket exhaust. besides the transmission problem i ran into the car has given me no problems and ran like a dream for many years ive owned it. the car will need a few cosmetic fixes like a good cleaning in and out but other than the front lip nothing really major is needed cosmetically. if you have any questions feel free to ask. the car is available for local pick up or buyer pays to have car shipped. thanks for looking.

CEO says Volkswagen's buying spree is over

After adding Italian motorcycle icon Ducati to its stable and spending $5.6 billion on the rest of Porsche, Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn says he's done shopping for a while.
"We have enough to do at the moment in taking our twelve brands to where we want to be," Winterkorn tells German newspaper Handelsblatt.
VW confirms Golf GTD diesel coming to US for 2016
Wed, 03 Jul 2013Part of the Volkswagen Golf recipe that has helped the car sell more than 30 million units in just under 40 years is the number of variants in which the hatchback is offered. Building on that range here in the US, Automotive News is reporting that we will finally be getting the sporty Golf GTD, likely as a 2016 model. It's the GTD, you'll recall, that crosses the performance abilities of the venerable GTI with a powerful and fuel-efficient diesel engine.
After speaking with Andreas Valbuena, Volkswagen product manager for the Golf, AN not only says that the GTD will for sale in the US in a couple years, it also estimates a baseline price of around $27,000, which would place it between the current pricing for the GTI and the Golf R. The GTD is launching in Europe this summer, but we won't be getting the seventh-generation Golf in the US for another year. The news about the performance diesel model isn't entirely unexpected - VW officials have been hinting at it for at least a year now, going so far as to import a sixth-generation model for media test drives on US soil, a task we happily took them up on last year.
The Mk VII GTD uses VW's 2.0-liter TDI engine with output increased to 184 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, allowing the car to sprint to 60 miles per hour in about seven seconds while returning more than 40 mpg in highway driving. We can't wait.
