THE ENTIRE BUS WAS DISMANTLED FOR PAINT AND BODY, ALL WINDOWS REMOVED ALONG WITH EVERY PIECE OF TRIM AND HARDWARE TO GET THE BEST RESULTS FROM PAINT JOB. THE BUS WAS COMPLETELY COVERED IN PRIMER SEALER PRIOR TO PAINT WHICH IS AN ORIGINAL VW VELVET GREEN WITH CLOUD WHITE ROOF AND BUMPERS , LAYED ON NICE AND THICK AND THEN BUFFED TO A BEAUTIFUL SMOOTH FINISH. THE INTERIOR IS ONE OF THE NICEST YOU WILL SEE. WE COMPLETELY REPLACED EVERY PIECE OF WOOD IN THE BUS WITH A BRAND NEW VDUB CLASSICS CAMPER INTERIOR. THIS THING IS A KNOCK OUT!! ALL CABINETS ARE QUALITY MADE OF FRESH NEW BALTIC BIRCH ALONG WITH MATCHING CEILING AND SIDE PANELS; ALL MADE FROM ORIGINAL WESTFALIA TEMPLATES. IT EVEN HAS A NICE, NEW ICE BOX. ALL UPHOLSTERY WAS CUSTOM MADE WITH OUR VINYL, TWEED AND WHITE PIPING DESIGN IN A NICE BEIGE TO COMPLEMENT THE BEAUTIFUL NEW WOOD WORK.WE EVEN INSTALLED UPDATED RETRACTABLE FRONT SEAT BELTS FOR A LITTLE MORE COMFORT AND PIECE OF MIND.

THE ENGINE WAS REMOVED AND GONE THROUGH WITH ALL NEW SEALS INCLUDING REAR MAIN SEAL, NEW 1641 PISTONS AND CYLINDERS, A NEW CLUTCH, PRESSURE PLATE AND THROW OUT BEARING WERE INSTALLED ALONG WITH NEW SHIFT COUPLER TO INSURE SMOOTH SHIFTING. REBUILT CARBURETOR AND NEW FUEL PUMP, ALONG WITH FUEL LINES AND FILTER. COMPLETE TUNE UP WITH VALVE ADJUSTMENT AND OIL CHANGE, TRANS AXLE FLUID CHANGE. ALL 4 SOFT BRAKE LINES WERE REPLACED WITH NEW ALONG WITH BRAKE FLUID FLUSH. REPLACED, WHEEL CYLINDERS AND A GREAT SET OF FIRESTONE TIRES ON BRAND NEW WHEELS!!!

An unofficial Tesla commercial pays homage to the automaker's namesake. The video, which shows the Model S driving through a dusty, petroleum-addicted landscape reminiscent of a Mad Max film, features words from a speech by electricity-obsessed inventor Nikola Tesla. While Tesla (the man) talks about advancing technology into the future through electricity, the cars surroundings switch from the barren oil village to a green countryside dotted with wind turbines. Akon, who once boasted a collection of 28 exotic cars, traded them in for four Teslas, including a Model X. Also, his organization Akon Lighting Africa provides free solar electricity and lighting to communities that need it. Clean Technica talked to Akon about solar power, Tesla and EVs in a video. The electric vehicle, built on the MEB modular platform with looks borrowed from the Microbus, made its debut as a concept vehicle at CES this year. Volkwagen's Dr. Volkmar Tanneberger tells Car magazine, "You will see a car that looks a lot like this, on the MEB platform, reach production. I can't say exactly when, but 2020 or thereabouts." He also says that the California camper van and Transporter van will continue production with internal combustion engines. Read more from Car. The 2017 Kia Soul EV will have more range. While it is scheduled for some minor updates, upping the electric Soul's driving range from its current EPA rating of 93 miles will hopefully attract more customers than a simple facelift. Driving through China is a pricey proposition. The couple will need to pony up a staggering $19,514 just to cover the fees.
Brad and Sheena Van Orden are in the midst of a life-defining campaign to travel around the world, and they're doing it in a 1984 Volkswagen Vanagon custom built for the occasion. The past 15 months have seen the couple quit their jobs with Gore-Tex and drive from Arizona to the very southern tip of Argentina after spending a full two years saving and preparing for the trek. Now they're in southern Asia gearing up for the next leg of their journey.

MotorWeek recalls the glory days of the VW Cabriolet

Remember the car that the rich, very attractive girl in your high school got on her 16th birthday? Was it a Volkswagen Cabriolet? But time marches on, and the boxy convertibles have attained a certain quirky coolness in the modern day. MotorWeek weighs in with a look at the 1989 model in the latest entry in its Retro Review series. MotorWeek actually comes away rather impressed with the Cabriolet, especially its handling. The show doesn't even complain about the big roll bar over the center of the car that has always looked more like a basket handle than a safety aid. Host John Davis must have enjoyed driving the droptop VW, too – despite his very '80s windbreaker and polo shirt ensemble, he was sporting quite the tan in this clip. The small, inexpensive convertible segment has largely disappeared today, but as MotorWeek shows by comparing the Cabriolet to the Chrysler LeBaron and Chevrolet Cavalier, it wasn't always this way.
