1976 VW Beetle Convertible; manual transmission; fuel injected; orange; black interior. Purchased vehicle to restore...never registered car. Car was shipped from the state of California....has sat the past three years. Was running fine with no known mechanical problems and all the electrical worked properly. Floors surface rust; 2 small bubble spots; needs new top; few missing interior items like visor; driver arm rest; small interior parts. Small surface rust on bumpers but most of this will scrub off; small dent on hood; body solid and straight.
VW parts are very inexpensive (several catalogues available) where you can purchase any part cheaply. This car is an easy fix: paint, top, tires and rims.
Purchased this car to fix but locally purchased the red VW convertible in last photo and have been fixing this one. The new top was purchased for $ 250.00. This car easy restore or parts (to good to part out).
NO TITLE...owner will get bill of sale only. I never registered car. E-Bay requires the title option to be checked that is why early in the listing it states title is clear....there is no choice for no title.
Car sold AS IS; NO RESERVE...moving....have to sell cars...check out my other listings. Seller has until Oct. 15th to remove car from property. Email with questions. Car located in zip: 02703

Volkswagen Multivan Alltrack Concept takes the luxury van life off road
Wed, 05 Mar 2014Volkswagen dug into its commercial vehicle fleet for its latest Geneva Motor Show concept, blending the versatile body of the T5 MultiVan with a luxuriously appointed interior, 4Motion all-wheel drive and a thrifty diesel powertrain.
That 177-horsepower diesel engine routes its power to the AWD system through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Based on that alone, we'd expect the Multivan Alltrack's behind-the-wheel experience to be somewhat familiar. That all-wheel-drive system and van body contribute to the 21-degree approach and 15-degree departure angles of this soft-roading MultiVan.
What wouldn't be familiar is its exquisite cabin. Volkswagen opted for a nautical theme for the concept's interior, featuring grey-blue leather seats from Poltrona Frau and a floor finished in real wood. The dark wood trim can also be found throughout the interior, running below the windows and on the dash.
VW announces recall of 26,000 2014 models with 1.8T engines
Tue, 22 Apr 2014Volkswagen has followed up on a stop-sale order from earlier this month, announcing a voluntarily recall of 26,400 vehicles that are powered by the brand's 1.8-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The new mill replaced the despised 2.5-liter five-cylinder in the Jetta, Passat, Beetle and Beetle Convertible last year. Weirdly, though, of the 26,452 units covered in the recall, only 1,655 are customer vehicles.
According to VW, the affected models were built between February 1 and April 6 of this year, and feature bad O-ring seals in the transmission oil cooler. Apparently, the faulty O-rings could cause a fluid leak, as they won't seal between the oil cooler and transmission. VW is blaming a material change from a supplier for the problem.
There have been no fires, injuries, accidents or fatalities relating to this issue, which VW will be fixing free of charge. Customers will need to report to dealers to have the O-rings replaced.
