If you've never driven a Touareg you should test drive one before buying anything else

Check out my 100% POSITIVE feedback (500+ transactions)

This has been a fantastic vehicle for us; we absolutely love it and hate to sell it but I got a deal I couldn't pass up on an almost new Volvo C70 so reluctantly the Touareg has to go.  Since we got a good deal we are selling this vehicle below value.

NEW BRAKES

This one is fully loaded with all the standard features plus a long list of options listed.   I have the clean title in hand.   There is nothing at all wrong with this vehicle in any way.  It has never seen snow, never been smoked and never been in an accident.

VEHICLE IS ALSO LISTED FOR SALE on AUTO TRADER.com

I reserve the right to end this auction early if I get a committed buyer via the Auto Trader ad.

NOTES: There is a small door ding I can send a photo of if needed and a spot on the under side front bumper/ drivers side where there is a paint nick and some paint cracking.  We don't know what from, we assume someone bumped it while parking in front of it in a parking lot??  The last photo shows what I'm talking about (hard to see). If you run a CarFax report you will see that the windshield was damaged and the vehicle had to be towed - that is the result of a baseball (foul ball) hitting right in the middle of the windshield on the drivers side while parked in the parking lot.

SHIPPING/ PICK-UP: I will be glad to assist you as needed with pick-up/ delivery.  I can pick you up at the Charleston, SC airport or help you with finding someone to transport and be sure I am here when they arrive to load.

Model Overview
The Touareg V6 model is powered by a 276-horsepower, 3.6L direct-injection V6; the engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic, which allows manual gear selection, plus the 4XMOTION all-wheel drive system, oriented for on- or off-road conditions. Touaregs have impressive approach and departure angles and are designed to handle water up to 22.8 inches deep. With the V6, the Touareg boasts improved acceleration, with 0-to-60 times now of 8.3 seconds.  The Touareg's interior is luxurious but also utility-minded. Rugged leatherette upholstery is standard, and the rear seat is split 60/40 and folds forward nearly flat for expanded cargo capacity.  Four-wheel anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), electronic stability control, and an electronic differential lock are standard on the Touareg, along with engine braking assist (EBA), which helps maintain stability in steep situations. For steep off-road situations, hill descent control and hill climb assist, two other electronic aids, are standard.  Has a four-wheel air suspension system, which can help maintain an even load when towing or off-roading. Standard equipment includes dual-zone climate control and aluminum and walnut wood trim.

VW, Fiat, Mercedes could be CNG winners in Europe

Fri, Dec 12 2014

Fiat ads in the US try to play up the exotic, sexy side of Italian culture. On the home front in Italy, however, passenger-vehicle sales are marked by something less edgy and quite a bit more practical: the growth of compressed-natural-gas (CNG) powered car sales. In fact, Italy is leading a group of European countries where CNG sales are on the upswing and may be benefiting automakers like VW, Fiat and Mercedes-Benz, according to Automotive News. VW started sales of its Golf TGI natural-gas vehicle this year – the company's fourth in Europe – while Mercedes-Benz added a natural-gas B-class model. Fiat accounts for about 50 percent of CNG vehicles sold on the continent. In all, Europe's CNG sales through September totaled about 67,000, up seven percent from a year earlier, Automotive News Europe says, citing research firm JATO Dynamics. And the number of CNG vehicles on Europe's roads could jump tenfold within the next decade. The draw is a combination of lower refueling prices and a CNG drivetrain that typically emits less CO2 than diesel vehicles. As for Italy, about five percent of new-vehicle sales are CNG. To put that into perspective, hybrids, battery-electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids and diesels combined to account for about 4.2 percent of US vehicle sales last year. VW builds 250,000th Passat in Chattanooga in just two years

Sun, 26 May 2013

It hasn't been without incident or union organizing drive, but the Volkswagen plant in Chattanooga, TN has built its 250,000 Passat in just a little over two years. The Night Blue Passat TDI with black leather has come just two years and five weeks after the first customer car came off the line on April 18, 2011.
In the last year the plant operated at the 150,000-unit capacity that it was intended for, but the downturn in Passat sales and subsequent worker layoffs mean it will be a challenge to repeat the feat. The plant does have the world's largest solar park, though, and you can't take that away from them.
You'll find the official hand-clapping in the press release below.

Pontiac Aztek enjoys rebirth thanks to Millennials

Fri, Sep 11 2015

Apparently, Millennials – those between 18 and 34 – aren't afraid to look different on the road, and they like performance, too. A new study by Edmunds is discovering some surprising vehicle choices by this group. Among them, the long-derided Pontiac Aztek is getting a new day in the sun with 25.5 percent its buyers coming from this generation in the first half of 2015. For comparison, Millennials represent an average of 16.8 percent of used car purchases. The Aztek is slowly shaking its reputation as a styling abomination, which seems tied to its appearance on Breaking Bad. The show premiered in 2008, and the Pontiac has been on this list for four of the past five years, according to Edmunds. It even led the pack in 2010. A recent Retro Review from MotorWeek also showed that the crossover wasn't always so hated. While it's still a shock to see the Aztek on any popularity list, the awkward-looking crossover only ranks sixth among Millennials. The vehicle with the biggest portion of buyers from the generation is the Dodge Magnum with 27.6 percent. According to Edmunds, the bluntly styled wagon is especially popular in Detroit and Chicago. The Chrysler Pacifica comes in a close second at 27.3 percent. When it comes to used cars, value and utility appear to trump just about anything else for many Millennial buyers," Edmunds analyst Jeremy Acevedo said in the report. Young buyers aren't afraid of sporty rides, either. The Subaru WRX has 26.4 percent Millennial buyers to rank third place on the list, and the Volkswagen R32 takes fifth at 25.7 percent. Just a few points lower in seventh place is the Nissan GT-R at 25.4 percent, and the final performance machine in 10th place is the Lexus IS-F with 24.7 percent. Related Video:
